Yr Iesu ydyw'r Brenin mawr

(Y Brenin a'i Deyrnas)
Yr Iesu ydyw'r Brenin mawr
Ei air sy'n llywio
    nef a llawr;
  Ei Deyrnas Ef a saif mewn grym
  Er gwarthaf llid gelynion llym;
Ymgrymwn wrth ei orsedd gref,
A rhoddwn foliant iddo Ef.

O deued holl deuluoedd dyn
Yn ymyl Croes yr Iesu'n un;
  Na fydded unrhyw chwerw sain
  Yn deffro'r cleddyf yn y wain,
Boed heddwch fel yn afon gref,
Ac O! nesaed ei Deyrnas Ef.

O! dyger ni i'r Deyrnas hon,
A boed ei hanian dan ein bron;
  Ei deddfau glān oleuo'n glir
  Ein llwybrau yn yr anial dir;
Cyfodwn heddiw'n daer ein llef -
O! deued dydd ei Deyrnas Ef.

(The King and the Kingdom)
Jesus is the great King
His word is governing
    heaven and earth;
  His Kingdom shall stand in force
  Despite the wrath of keen enemies;
Let us bow at his strong throne,
And render praise unto Him.

O let all the families of man come
Beside the Cross of Jesus as one;
  Let there be no bitter sound at all
  Awakening the sword in the sheath,
Let peace be like a strong river,
And O may His Kingdom draw near.

O let us be led to this Kingdom!
And let his nature be under our breast;
  His holy laws lighten clearly
  Our paths in the desert land;
Let us raise earnestly today our cry -
O let the day of His Kingdom come.
tr. 2016 Richard B Gillion
