Ysbryd Sanctaidd dyro'r golau
  Ar dy eiriau di dy hun,
Agor inni'r Ysgrythurau,
  Dangos inni Geidwad dyn.

O sancteiddia'n myfyrdodau
  Yn dy wirioneddau byw,
Crea ynom ddymuniadau
  Am drysorau meddwl Duw.

Gweld yr Iesu, dyna ddigon
  Ar y ffordd i enaid tlawd;
Dyma gyfaill bery'n ffyddlon,
  Ac a lŷn yn well na brawd.

Holy Spirit give the light
  On thy own words,
Open to us the Scriptures,
  Show us the Saviour of man.

Oh, sanctify our meditations
  In thy living truths,
Create in us desires
  For the treasures of God's thought.

To see Jesus, that is sufficient
  On the way for the poor soul;
Here is a friend who will remain faithful,
  And who will stick better than a brother.
