Creawdwr doeth y ddaear lawr

1,2,3,(5,6),4;  1,2,3,5,6.
(Gweddi mewn llesgedd)
Creawdwr doeth y ddaear lawr,
Ffurfafen las, a'r nefoedd fawr,
  Edrych o rhwng y sêr i'r byd
  Yr wyt ar feibion Adda i gyd.

Minnau a weli 'mhlith y llu
Sy â'u hwyneb ar y nefoedd fry,
  Am deithio 'mlaen
      i'r nefol fyd,
  Y llesga' o honynt oll i gyd.

Y gwanaf wyf, y rheitia' i ddwyn,
O'r defaid gwirion, ac o'r ŵyn;
  A diau yw'r arosaf 'nol,
  Oni chwyd y Bugail fi yn ei gôl.

'Does enw foddia'm henaid trist
Ond enw hyfryd Iesu Grist;
  Wel dyma'r gwir, ni feddaf un
  Rhyw ddinas noddfa ond dy hun.

Nis gallaf gerdded cam ym mlaen
Trwy'm nerth fy hun, mi 'gwada'n làn;
  'Nghyfiawnder a fy rheswm ffol
  Sy'n hytrach yn fy nghadw'n ol.

Ffaelu fel hyn yr wyf yn awr,
Fy arfau fy hun mi 'rhof i lawr;
  Mi geisiais wneyd i'm hunan lês,
  Ganwaith, ac etto ronyn nes.

(Prayer in debility)
The wise Creator of the earth below,
The blue firmament, and the great heavens,
  Looking from between the stars to the world
  Thou art on all the sons of Adam.

Me too thou seest amidst the host
Who have their face on the heavens above,
  Wanting to travel onward
      to the heavenly world,
  The most feeble of them all altogether.

The weakest I am, the neediest to take,
From the silly sheep, and from the lambs;
  And doubtless I shall remain behind,
  Unless the Shepherd raises me in his bosom.

There is no name that satisfies my sad soul
But the delightful name of Jesus Christ;
  See here is the truth, I possess no
  Kind of city of refuge but thyself.

I cannot walk a step forwards
Through my own strength, I refuse completely;
  My righteousness and my foolish reason
  Are rather keeping me back.

Failing like this I am now,
My own weapons I put down;
  I sought to do some benefit to myself,
  A hundred times, and still a grain nearer.
Me too thou seest amidst
        :: Thou findest me too amidst
        :: Shalt thou see me too amidst

Who have their face on the :: Who are facing the :: Who are pulling towards the
::
most feeble of them all :: the most feeble amongst them
I shall remain behind :: I shall remain behind :: I shall be left
