Gyd-ieuenctyd wyddoch chwi?

(Ymgom y Plant)
1.
Dosbarth 1af
Gyd-ieuenctyd wyddoch chwi,
Pwy fu yn ein cadw ni -
Drwy y nos, rhag saethau cudd,
  A'n deffroi ni gyda'r dydd?

Dosbarth ail
Gwyddom mai ein Ceidwad mawr,
Fu'n ein gwylio ar bob awr,
  Ynddo Ef mae dynolryw,
  Yn ymsymod, bod, a byw.

CYDGAN - Yr holl Ysgol.
    Dewch i gydfolianu Duw,
    Am ei drugareddau gwiw,
      Rho'wch yn awr yn ddiwahan,
Lais a chalon yn y gân.

2.
Dosbarth 1af
Gyd-ieuenctyd wyddoch chwi,
Pwy sy'n rhoddi bwyd i ni -
  Dillad clud, a mam a thad -
  Ysgol Sul i'n dysgu'n rhad?

Dosbarth ail.
Gwyddom mai ein Harglwydd hael,
Sy'n rhoi'r cyfan 'rym yn gael,
  Pob rhodd dda sy'n d'od o'r nef,
  O'i drugaredd dyner Ef.

Tôn [7777T]: Ymgom y Plant (William Aubrey Powell)

(The Dialogue of the Children)
1.
First Class
Fellow-youngsters do ye know,
Who it was who was keeping us -
Through the night, from hidden arrows,
And waking us with the day?

Second Class
We know that it was our great Saviour,
Who was watching us every hour,
  In Him humankind is
  Moving, being, and living.

CHORUS - The whole School.
Come ye to praise God together,
    For his worthy mercies,
      Give ye now inseparably,
Voice and heart in the song.

2.
First Class
Fellow-youngsters do ye know,
Who it is who is giving food to us -
Cosy clothing, and mother and father -
Sunday School to teach us freely?

Second Class
We know that it is our generous Lord,
Who is giving us all we are getting,
Every good gift that comes from heaven,
  By His tender mercy.
tr. 2019 Richard B Gillion
