Heddiw'r ffynnon a agorwyd
Heddyw'r ffynnon a agorwyd

1,2,3,(4,5);  1,3.
(Ffynnon y dyfroedd byw)
Heddyw'r ffynnon a agorwyd,
  Disglair fel y grisial clir;
Y mae'n llanw ac yn llifo
  Dros wastadedd Salem dir:
    Bro a bryniau
  A gaiff brofi
      rhin y dŵr.

Y mae rhinwedd gras y nefoedd
  O dragwyddol faith barhâd;
Nid oes darfod ddim ar effaith
  Perffaith haeddiant dwyfol waed;
    Ac er golchi,
  Dwfr heb lwydo, dwfr heb drai.

Minnau ddof i'r ffynnon loyw
  Darddodd allan ar y bryn,
Ac mi olcha'm henaid euog
  Ganwaith yn y dyfroedd hyn;
    Myrdd o feiau
  Dafla'i lawr i rym y dŵr.

Dyma'r fan y caiff fy nwydau
  Gwyllt, cynddeiriog, hyfryd friw;
Dyma'r fan caf gongcro natur,
  A'i gwrthddrychau o bob rhyw;
    Caf deyrnasu
  Ar bob eilun teg ei lun.

O! dirwynwch, oriau, i fyny,
  A gadewch im wel'd y dydd
Pan y torir fy nghadwynau,
  A chaf rodio'n berffaith rydd:
    Ysbryd caethwas
  Wedi troi yn ysbryd hedd.

gwelir: Y mae rhinwedd gras y nefoedd

(The fount of living waters)
Today a fount was opened,
  Shining like the clear crystal;
It is flooding and flowing
  Across the plain of Salem land:
    Vale and hills
  Shall get to experience
      the virtue of the water.

The virtuous grace of heaven is
  From eternal vastness continuing;
There is no dwindling at all of the effect
  Of the perfect virtue of divine blood;
    And for washing,
  Water without greying, water without ebbing.

I too shall come to the clear fount
  Which sprang out on the hill,
And I shall wash my guilty soul
  A hundred times in these waters;
    A myriad of faults
  I shall fling down to the force of the water.

Here is the place my wild, furious
  Lusts shall get a delightful bruise;
Here is the place nature shall get conquered,
  With its objects of every kind;
    I shall get to rule
  Over ever idol of fair appearance.

O wind up, ye hours,
  And let me see the day
When my chains are to be broken,
  And I shall get to walk perfectly free!
    The spirit of a captive
  Has turned into the spirit of peace.
Shining :: Shiningly
