Oferedd imi seinio cân

(Cysur trwy'r Gwaed)
Oferedd imi seinio cân,
  Heb nerth sancteiddlan Ysbryd
Yn cydanadlu gyda'm llef
  Yn anian gref o fywyd.

Adnabod hawl
    yn ngwaed y groes
  Mewn truan oes wy'n geisio,
Gan dynu cysur pur bob awr
  O'r rhinwedd mawr sydd ynddo.

Mewn prawf o rinwedd gwaed y groes
Er bod pob loes yn chwerw,
Mi orfoleddaf yn fy Ner,
  Er oeri'r
      mêr, a marw.

Tôn [MS 8787]: Altona (As Hymnodus Sacer 1625)

gwelir: Heb ras i gyd bereiddio'r dôn

(Comfort through the Blood)
In vain it is for me to sound a song,
Without the strength of the Holy Spirit
Breathing together with my cry
As a strong nature of life.

To recognize the claim
in the blood of the cross
In a wretch, yes, I am seeking,
While drawing pure comfort every hour
From the great virtue that is in it.

In an experience of the virtue of the cross
  Despite every anguish being bitter,
I shall be jubilant in my Lord,
  Despite the chilling of the
      marrow, and dying.
