Ofni'r rhwystrau yn fy nghalon

(Treiglo'r Maen)
Ofni'r rhwystrau yn fy nghalon,
Mewn amheuon 'rwyf yn byw -
Gweld y bedd a'r meini mawrion,
  Ond heb weld angylion Duw.

Crynu rhag yr anawsterau,
  Mynd i gwrdd â maen y bedd -
Methu gweld mewn gorthrymderau
  Dêg ŵynebau engyl hedd.

Os yw'r maen yn drwm i'w dreiglo,
  Os yw'r nerth yn wan i'w gwrdd;
Fe fydd engyl nefoedd yno,
  Wedi treiglo'r maen i ffwrdd.

Arglwydd, cymorth Di fy ngolwg,
  Arglwydd, nertha Di fy ffydd,
Heibio i'r nos i weld yn amlwg
  Wenau'r Iesu gyda'r dydd.

(Rolling the Stone)
Fearing the obstacles in my heart,
In doubts I am living -
Seeing the grave and the great stones,
  But without seeing God's angels.

Trembling from the difficulties,
Going to meet with the grave's stone -
Failing to see in oppressions
The fair faces of the angels of peace.

If the stone is heavy to roll,
If the strength is weak to meet it,
The angels of heaven will be there,
  Having rolled the stone away.

Lord, help Thou my sight,
  Lord, strengthen Thou my faith,
Beyond the night to see obviously
The smiles of Jesus with the day.
tr. 2019 Richard B Gillion
