I grieve that so many of you are making the acquiring of wealth and possessions the top priority in your lives, even to the neglect of the things of Me...in time spent in prayer and in study of My Word. It is to the detriment of your souls that you do this for it is a futile gesture.
Let us look at what My Word says about the hoarding of wealth and possessions...
FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY IS A ROOT OF ALL KINDS OF EVIL, FOR WHICH SOME HAVE STRAYED FROM THE FAITH IN THEIR GREEDINESS, AND PIERCED THEMSELVES THROUGH WITH MANY SORROWS. (1 Tim. 6:10)
HE WHO LOVES SILVER WILL NOT BE SATISFIED WITH SILVER; NOR HE WHO LOVES ABUNDANCE WITH INCREASE. THIS ALSO IS VANITY. (Ecc. 5:10)
THEN YOU WILL LAY YOUR GOLD IN THE DUST, AND THE GOLD OF OPHIR AMONG THE STONES OF THE BROOKS. YES THE ALMIGHTY WILL BE YOUR GOLD AND YOUR PRECIOUS SILVER; FOR THEN YOU WILL HAVE YOUR DELIGHT IN THE ALMIGHTY, AND LIFT UP YOUR FACE TO GOD. YOU WILL MAKE YOUR PRAYER TO HIM, HE WILL HEAR YOU, AND YOU WILL PAY YOUR VOWS. YOU WILL ALSO DECLARE A THING, AND IT WILL BE ESTABLISHED FOR YOU; SO LIGHT WILL SHINE ON YOUR WAYS. (Job 22:24-28)
O My people, hearken to My words of warning...a warning of the consequences of cleaving unto your wealth and wordly possessions.
Beloved, hearken unto My promises of your rewards as you turn away from the things of the world and seek to serve Me. I tell you, My little ones, I shall open doors of opportunities for ministry that you never dreamed possible. I shall care for each of you in the midst of the greatest tribulation man has ever known and you shall lead multitudes into My kingdom. You shall sustain new believers by meeting their needs, by teaching them My Word, by fellowshipping with them and loving them. As you are faithful in this you shall see miracles of My provision in the face of famine, you shall see waves of My healing power as you pray for the sick, you shall see instant answers to prayer as you pray. I say unto you...
FEAR NOT FOR I AM WITH YOU; BE NOT DISMAYED FOR I AM YOUR GOD. I WILL STRENGTHEN YOU, YES, I WILL HELP YOU, I WILL UPHOLD YOU WITH MY RIGHTEOUS RIGHT HAND. (Isa. 41:10)
