IF JESUS CHRIST
CAME HERE TODAY

If JESUS CHRIST came here today,
What do you think HE'd see,
Would we, as Christians be busy,
About HIS work as we should be.

Would we be doing all the things,
We know that we should do?
Or would we all be idle,
And neglecting others too.

If JESUS CHRIST came here today,
I hope that HE would see,
Each and every one of us, doing,
And acting as we should be.

Loving and caring for each other,
As all Christians ought to do,
Helping and sharing with each other,
All our burdens and trials too.

If JESUS CHRIST came here today,
What do you think HE'd see,
We hope, all Christians working,
To live with HIM eternally.

A LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS

I was lost in the depths of despair,
As deep as a person could go,
Not knowing there was one who cared,
Or anywhere I could go.

It was raining and dark that special night,
And I walked the streets all alone,
When off to my side I saw a light,
And a great building made of stone.

Voices rang out in a joyful chorus,
Of a Savior who had died on Calvary,
They sang of a CHRIST who had died for all,
That we might live eternally.

I entered that building and knelt at a pew,
All around me I felt a great presence,
I prayed for forgiveness and felt born anew,
I left there in awe and reverance.

I gave my life to the LORD that night,
To do with as HE would do,
For inside my heart there burns a light,
That will last my whole life through.
