In Memory of Loved Ones Lost

All of you have held a special place in my heart. For whatever reason, your silly antics or charming ways have captured a certain part of me.

Most others have no idea of the love and bond between a fur kid and their human.

For that, I thank each one of you that has given me the pleasure to have you in my life. If only for a short time.
Rest In Peace my sweet kids, and know I loved you dearly and miss you greatly.
Until we meet again--------- Love Mom

This poem was sent to me by a dear friend, and truer words were never spoken.

I want to thank whomever wrote it.

Lending You A Friend

I will lend to you for a while, a pup, God said,
For you to love him while he lives, and mourn for him when he's gone.
Maybe for twelve or fourteen years, maybe just two or three,
But will you, ('til I call him back), take care of him for me?

He'll bring his charms to gladden you and (should his stay be brief),
you'll always have his memories as solace for your grief.
I can not promise he will stay, since all from earth return,
But there are lessons taught below, I want this pup to learn.

I've looked the whole world over, in search of teachers true,
And from the folk that crowd life's land, I have chosen you.
Now, will you give him all your love nor think the labor vain?
Nor hate me when I come to take my Pup back home again?

I fancied that I heard them say "Dear Lord Thy Will be Done,"
For all the joys this Pup will bring, the risk of grief we'll run.
We'll shelter him with tenderness, we'll love him while we may,
And thankful for the happiness we've known, and forever grateful stay.

But should you call him back, much sooner than we've planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes, and try to understand.
If, by our love, we've managed, your wishes to achieve,
In memory of him we loved, to help us while we grieve.
When our faithful bundle departs this world of strife,
We'll have yet another Pup, and we'll love him all his life.

And my heart still feels the loss of the beloved pets I had before starting my adventure with the quality bred ones.

To Jazmine, Aladdin, and Misty you are never far from my thoughts.

Jazzy, my sweet sweet girl, you were my first and taught me the true meaning of human/doggie bonding.

For you I will be forever grateful. Here is a poem just for you sweet girl.

I LOVED YOU BEST

So this is where we part My Friend,
and you'll run on, around the bend,
gone from sight, but not from mind,
new pleasures there you'll surely find.

I will go on. I'll find the strength,
life measures quality, not its length.
One long embrace before you leave,
share one last look, before I grieve.

There are others that much is true,
but they be they, and they aren't you.
And I, fair, impartial, or so I thought,
will remember well all you've taught.

Your place I'll hold, you will be missed,
the fur I stroked, the nose I kissed.
And as you journey to your final rest,
take with you this....I loved you best.
