Here are the best RPG's, Fighting Games, and Puzzle Games. Enjoy.

Best Role Playing Games (RPG's)

1

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)

By Nintendo

It's not surprising that the most wanted action/RPG is now the most favorite action/RPG. The game is an incredible piece of work.

2

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX (GB Color)

By Nintendo

The original version of this game has been declared as the best Game Boy game ever. This game is better.

3

Pokémon/Red (Super GB)

By Nintendo and GameFreak

If Zelda weren't the best, this would be. (Pokémon/Blue was close, by the way.)

Even though players could only rent this game, it doesn't mean it's not worth playing.

2

Mortal Kombat 4 (N64)

By Midway / Eurocom

Well, you had to know that this game would make it onto the Top 3. Right?

With more options, better play control, better graphics (not to mention color), and the same classic game play, it's no wonder that Tetris DX is the best puzzle game of the year.

Ocean took a step away from the Tetris-like puzzle genre and made up its own.

Nintendo Gamers Poll (11/19/98)
Which game from the Zelda series (not including Zelda 64) is your favorite?
A Link to the Past (SN) -> 80%

Link's Awakening (GB) -> 20%

In 1992, Zelda III was considered as one of the best-looking, most-challenging, and fun adventure games to date. (Sound familiar?)
In 1993, Link starred in his very first Game Boy game: Zelda IV. This game had the look and challenge of Zelda III, but the feel and music from the original NES hit.

Nintendo Gamers Poll (6/05/98)
If EarthBound 64 does come out on cartridge, instead of on disk (64DD), would you still buy it?
Yes -> 75%

No -> 25%

EarthBound 64, as far as anyone knows, is still confirmed as not being a 64DD game. With the recent success of Zelda 64, it looks like the 512-megabit EarthBound game will definitely be cartridge-based.
