Happy Birthday Kyle

Here's a special editorial for me. Last Saturday (August 15th) was my 21st birthday and to celebrate it I'm going to give you some other August birthdays that might be interesting to know.

August 1987 Kid Icarus is released for the NES. 11 years old
August 1988 NES Power Pad is released. 10 years old
August 1989 Game Boy is released. 9 years old
August 1989 Tetris is released for Game Boy. 9 years old
August 1989 Dragon Warrior is released for the NES. 9 years old
August 1989 Metroid is released for the NES. 9 years old
August 1991 Super NES is released. 7 years old
August 1991 Super Mario World, F-Zero, and Pilotwings are all released for the Super NES. 7 years old
August 1992 Mario Paint and the Super NES Mouse is released for the Super NES. 6 years old
August 1992 Kirby's Dream Land is released for Game Boy. 6 years old
August 1993 The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is released for Game Boy. 5 years old
August 1993 Mortal Kombat is released for the Super NES. 5 years old
August 1994 Stunt Race FX, which uses the Super FX2 Chip, is released for the Super NES. 4 years old
August 1995 Virtual Boy is released. 3 years old
August 1995 Mario's Tennis, Galactic Pinball, and Teleroboxer are all released for the Virtual Boy. 3 years old
August 1995 Chrono Trigger is released for the Super NES. 3 years old
August 1996 First full month of KNP being on-line. 2 years old
August 1996 Virtual Boy is cancelled. 2 years old
August 1997 GoldenEye 007 is released for the Nintendo 64. 1 year old
August 1997 Tetrisphere is released for the Nintendo 64. 1 year old
August 1997 International Superstar Soccer 64 is released for the Nintendo 64. 1 year old
August 1998 Legend of the River King GB is released for Super Game Boy. 0 years old

I predict that next August (1999) Rare will release Perfect Dark for the Nintendo 64. Hey, that would be great, right. It would be released the same month as GoldenEye 007. I do know it will be coming in the Fall of 1999, but that's as exact as it will be for some time now.
