Kriete's Corner

(the copyright wording will not appear on the purchased print)

Ernest Kriete founded Kriete’s Corner as a combination gas station/garage and lunchroom in 1924. The lunchroom eventually became a grocery store. It burned and was rebuilt in 1956-57. The Krietes also operated a sawmill behind the store for a number of years. The property was sold in 1970 to Robert Alexander. The Alexanders sold it in 1977 to Lloyd & Helen Brummett. Recently, it has been run as a craft shop by Florine Hall.
