Rantings

I'm not a hateful person at heart, but I do dislike a lot of things. I dislike many people. I have noticed in my lifetime that humankind has no scruples. We've shown that as a whole by "multiplying and subduing the Earth" as the Bible suggests. Certain people chap my ass as well. The lack of sympathy some people can have unless it suits their needs blows my mind. Respect has become obsolete, because of the "I got mine" mentality that has taken over. There isn't even a value for human life. I really hate the idea of an MTV generation. I didn't grow up on MTV. I don't know anyone who did. I grew up on The Smurfs and Mr. Rogers. Mr. Rogers shaped my life as a child. Do you remember King Friday? That's how I pictured God. I have very low respect for anyone who blindly follows the status quo and wastes time and money trying to be cool. Trends, Fashion, they last a minute. Find your own personal style, and it will last a lifetime. And it will reflect your real personality, not some pretty vee-jay on MTV who was probably dressed by a damned stylist, anyway.

• The irony of Levi's airing a commercial in which a girl spews the wonders of capitalism while the company has factories in CHINA! Does anyone else find that mind-implodingly confusing?
