The 12 Modules below can be mixed and matched to create a workshop perfectly tailored to the needs of any group. We can accommodate everyone - from professional to community groups, large and small! Workshops can be held at your facility or your favorite meeting room. Any of these workshops is an excellent choice for your group. Try something different for a change! Developed and taught by a top-notch national speaker, these workshops are not only informative and essential, but fun too! EMPLOYEE AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Team Building (2 - 4 hours)

Creating an environment that is conducive to teamwork is an important element in building team spirit. Respecting individual differences and contributions combined with achieving the goals of a team requires a delicate balance of independence and interdependence. This module will help members assess strengths and weaknesses, clarify team purpose, and explore the decision-making process. Ideally the Myers Briggs Type Inventory will be used with this module. (2 hours without Myers Briggs, 4 hours with Myers Briggs)

Managing Change and Stress (2 - 6 hours)

The rate of change facing today’s worker encompasses technology, jobs, and life style. With so much change, stress is a natural outcome. Understanding the dynamics of change and linking stress management skills as a resource will help participants become more effective in managing stress. Personal responsibility and improved coping skills will be outcomes of this module.

Conflict Resolution (4 - 6 hours)

Facing and managing conflict is an extremely important skill. When we are too forceful or too meek in resolving conflict, we reduce the potential for an effective outcome. Five ways to manage conflict will be addressed in this module. A questionnaire is administered to determine conflict styles. The advantages and disadvantages of each style will be discussed. Group interaction will provide further appreciation and understanding of conflict management styles and resolution. (An additional fee is required for workbook)

Leadership (6 hours)

Becoming a leader requires building trust and inspiring a vision that others will want to follow. Skills that make an effective leader include decision making, coaching for performance, strategic assessment, personal effectiveness, organizational savvy, motivating others, giving and receiving feedback, building teams, risk taking, influencing skills, delegation, leading change, and conflict resolution. Leadership is an art that requires self-confidence, creativity, and the courage to take action. (This workshop is minimum one day and will be customized to fit the needs of the client). Designed for business executives and upper management personnel.

Communicating Professionally (6 hours)

Basic communication skills are covered in this module. Listening skills, using "I" messages, body language, gender communication differences, barriers to communication, and assertive communications are included. The Transactional Analysis communication styles of "Parent, Adult, and Child" are addressed to assist participants in understanding underlying motivations of interpersonal interactions. A fun workshop! 

Working with Difficult People (4 - 6 hours)

Every day we are faced with managing ourselves and effectively working with others. Knowing how to cope and work with a difficult person is a valuable skill. We begin by understanding our own difficult patterns -- not always an easy task!-- then ascertain the best strategies for managing these "difficult" behavior patterns. Many times we place premature judgment and use limiting methods to interface with others. After this workshop you will gain specific strategies for managing difficult people. (An extra fee is required for a book included in this workshop)

Personality and Work (4 - 6 hours)

The Myers Briggs is the foundation for engaging participants in discovering personality preferences. Based on the theory of Myers Briggs, we are attracted to certain careers because of our type preferences. In this class we identify personality preferences and learn about type motivations, communication styles, preferred work methods, and developmental areas for each type preference.

Career Limiting Behaviors (2 - 4 hours)

Understanding personal motivations and limitations at work benefits individuals and the organization. Assessing career limiting behaviors helps address key issues for development. Lack of experience, skills, and motivation are factors that minimize the effectiveness of employee growth, satisfaction, and productivity. This module explores over fifty behaviors that may be limiting employees, assesses individual skills set, gives strategies for overcoming limiting behaviors, and creates an individual action plan. (2 hours for Career Limiting Behaviors only, 2 hours for Skill Assessment only, or 4 hours for both)

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

Overcoming Self-Limiting Behaviors (4 hours)

We all use self-limiting behaviors as protection devices to minimize potential hurt or "loss of face." However, old and ineffective behavior patterns hold us back from reaching our full potential. They limit our ability to be authentic and develop loving relationships. This powerful workshop will help you understand why you hold yourself back. You will create a life changing action plan to overcome self-limiting behaviors, manage your emotions, and face life with assertiveness.

Goal Mapping (6 hours)

Creating a life goal map for eight life areas is covered in this module. Career, finances, health, relationships, recreation, personal growth, community involvement, and spiritual development are the eight life areas for discovery. Additionally, creating a list of 100 Life Adventures, Life Purpose Statement, and Values clarification will be included. (Idea: can be presented in two separate 3-hour time slots to allow time for reflection in between).

Career Assessment (6 hours)

Discover career interests, personality qualities, and skills that enhance career development. Whether you are interested in changing careers or exploring career options within an organization, this workshop provides the basic assessment tools. Several assessment instruments are utilized to uncover interests, preferences, skills, motivations, and values. Organizations can benefit by assisting employees in career assessment. (extra costs for assessments)

The Magic is Within You--12 Ways to Change Your Life
(2 hours to 2 days)

Our speaker's personal favorite! Accepting the personal magic that is within each person and respectfully living life as a treasured journey is the basis for this workshop. The 12 Ways to Change Your Life workshop provides a path of self discovery and challenges participants to create personal change by becoming responsible for their actions. In this workshop participants learn several easy and practical ways to change and empower their lives. Two hours is the minimum amount of time needed to scratch the surface of this exciting material; can be fully covered in 2 days.
