Do you ever watch Felicity and realize that some of the points and people that we see and their circumstances just aren't resolved, ever - we'll this new column - Felicity's Inconsistencies just asks the questions that were never delt with on the show...
Have you ever wondered why and how all the characters are able to get into clubs/bars in NYC when they're all under age? (except Noel - he's 21)
What ever happened to the cute Librarian that Sean was gaga over (Chloe)?
How does Sean pay his rent - we know that Ben helps him subsidize him but that alone would never pay for that NYC loft that they live in.
Did the freaks and geeks ever get dibs on the first tickets to The Phantom Menace?
How did Ben get the money to get to Mexico for the summer when he owed all that money in gambling debts?
Did Zack ever get charged for raping Julie?
Why did Lynn and Nicole go to the Bahamas when they both were so uncertain about their relationship?
What ever happened with Guy and the girl he asked (off the street) to the Conan O'Brian Show?
How did Julie beat out the other candidates for that job at her mom's architect firm - when she has no experience or education in the field?
What happened with Blair and Tara? Did Elana really not forgive "her girl"?
If Ben, Julie, Felicity and Noel had driven across USA do you really think all of their luggage would've fit in the trunk - Felicity left her dorm with 4 bags (2 carry on).
Did Richard ever get a warning from The Student Advisory Board about his indoor BBQ?
How did Javier get his VISA?
Did Sean and Julie ever sit down and study economics after she sold that basket of fruit for him during finals?
How did Noel ever pass his finals after that bout with Smart Powder and the fact that someone else had picked up his bag with all his books in it at the airport?
Who was the girl that Ben kissed in the first episode? ( if you remember when Felicity is getting her school ID picture taken - he leans over and kisses this other girl and then he sees Felicity - and then introduces them and forgets Felicity's name!) what ever happened to this girl - we never see her again after the first episode!
What ever happened between Noel and his brother? I know he resolved the problem - but Noel was really screwed up by it - did he get some counseling or what?

Hello Felicity Fans - before I start this week's column, I must say that Felicity was really brave for standing up to Ben the way she did - what a great role model to all of us. Never compromise yourself for anyone - always be true to you.
So, Sean is really stirring things up, why does he care that Ben and Felicity are together if he's going after Julie?? What possible motive does he have for breaking these 2 up?
Why, when Felicity cuts her hair does she say that she's doing it for herself and no one else - who else would she be doing it for? I really don't think that it makes her as attractive as she is with long hair....
What ever happened to Eli? Felicity really doesn't seem to be the kind of person to have a one night stand, she over analyzes everything - do you really think that she would just not date Eli after giving herself to him -I mean Ben just wrote that he was interested in her, in her yearbook and she moved cross country for him!
If Noel really does care for Felicity, (which we see through the longing stares he still gives her) does he really think he'll stand a chance with her ever again if he's being so cruel to her?
Why do we see Ben eating in the residence cafeteria all the time when he's got his own apartment which has a kitchen?
Why would Julie just move out of Kevin Hall when she probably has already paid to live there for the year - I know that living with those 2 cheerleaders would get to me - but how can she afford to pay for both places? She says that she made less than $700 over the summer.
The following characters have just disappeared from the show without explanation - Guy, Lynn and Nicole (Ben says nothing about his 2 best buddies from last season), Eli and Richard - and Julie's Mom. Why would the writers dump these characters when they can be used in such wonderful plot developments? Imagine Richard finding true love, or Felicity seeing Eli with another woman, or Guy actually dating the girl he took to the Conan O'Brian Show, or may be even Story ending up as an advise of Meghans....what about Julie meeting her father - these ideas could've been developed.
If Felicity is as strong as she says she is and would never compromise herself for Ben, why did she move to NYC to be near him?
Is Ben really the player he seems to be? He seems to be into a lot of one night stands - the girl in the first episode, the pink power ranger on Halloween, etc - is he just out for fun?
Isn't Felicity and Meghan in Noel's old room 729? It was a little smaller if I remember it correctly when Noel lived there....

What ever happened to the guy with the great memory in "the stacks" in the library? Why didn't Elana just ask him about Blair and Tara if she wasn't willing to trust Felicity?
How did Carol ( Julie's Mom) know what size of clothing she wore when she bought her that dress for Julie's birthday?
Did Richard ever evaluate Noel as an RA?
Did Noel return that crappy snack dispenser to Yuri ? Senza told her family that she and Noel were going out, if he was serious about Felicity why didn't he deny it? Why wasn't she upset when he told her?
When Julie makes the tape to Carol ( her Mom) she says she's happy to meet her if only once, she ends up wanting to meet Carol's whole family!
Did Noel ever get his bag back from the airport?
Did Ben ever pass English ( after the whole episode where Felicity wrote his paper) and then he freaked out about his poetry final?
How long was Ben actually crushing on Felicity? Did he do it while he was with Julie?
What are the majors of Ben, Julie and Meghan?
Why did Felicity play the tape to Meghan - she has always been let down by her before.
How did Sean get rid of Tim at the back to school party at the loft?

What an interesting episode yesterday....the older gentleman that gets up and tells Julie and Felicity that they were not really "best friends" to start off with, was correct.....in my opinion......
So let's do some analyzing of his words regarding the relationship of Julie and Felicity:
Felicity and Julie were thrown together by happenstance because they both knew no one else at the college....so they just started to hang out with each other because they were in similar classes - this is true - but a friendship just doesn't stay together because people are thrown together - I believe that Julie and Felicity put time into their friendship.....this didn't mean they were "best friends" but rather good friends...big difference...
The old man was right when he said that Julie should've never dated a guy that her friend liked and then act all surprised when Felicity decided to go with him across country.....it was a natural reaction
Felicity was wrong in deciding to go with Ben and then think when she apologized to Noel that he would just coming back to her - I'm glad that Ruby's character was introduced to cause friction between Felicity and Noel - to prove to Felicity that she used to be able to get Ben or Noel - but all changes....
I don't think it was that consistent that Ben told off that lady in Dean and Deluca and then she just invites him ( a complete stranger) to a formal party....a bit strange......
Julie's song..re : Felicity why didn't they play it for all of us to hear??? Then we the audience could've played jury as well - it would've been more effective.....
What was Meghan doing with "THE MOLE PEOPLE?"
Why didn't the people just get out of the train and walk along the track to get above ground - especially when Felicity and Julie saw Meghan doing it, didn't they think they could get out - in stead of hanging out for 5 hours below ground.
It seemed a bit too weird that all the strangers on the train just opened up to the extent they did, they seemed to give out too much personal information.....
I'm glad to see that Richard returned in last week's episode - but it doesn't make sense for Noel to listen to such a relationship (dare I say the word) virgin.....this guy has no experience.....yet Noel eats up his advice.....
Ben has still not led on to why Nicole and Lynn haven't returned this year....I hope they tie this up....
Why does Meghan give people such hostile advice? Do you think she'll get advised by the RA committee to be a bit more gentle when dealing with freshmen???

Very interesting episode this week..... Noel still is in love with Felicity but can't admit it this is very inconsistent of the way he used to be around her....he used to be able to tell her anything, granted she broke his heart, but he used to pursue her when she was gaga over Ben in the first season.....what is stopping him?
Ben is going for a woman who's much older and treats him badly? This doesn't make sense when he knows he's still in love with Felicity as well. You can tell by the little pause and the look after he ran into her outside of Dean and Deluca's . Why doesn't he say anything either. Her persuaded her until he got her.....now he's acting like he's got no feelings at all...I don't think so....he's giving up too easily.....
The whole Game boy thing was a bit blown up. I really can't see Elaina wasting 4 days.... on a video game..she's got her system, her study plan etc. she's too conservative to not study....her studies are her life....
Meghan seemed to have a bit of admiration for Felicity when she blew off a second date with her teacher's kid....
Go Felicity!....that jerk did deserved it.....it seems strange that the new guy would go out with her again knowing that he was her "B" guy....what if an "A" guy came along....would Felicity just dump him?
Julie is actually acting nice to Felicity...this is great....we don't really see them talk things through though and this is a bit weird. Both of their characters would sit down and resolve things before continuing the friendship I think.. They both are very analytical...especially Felicity, she needs closure with every situation it seems...
Sean never does finish Smoothese or show it to Ben's squeeze.....will he?
Why does Ben's squeeze sleep with him and then tell him he's too young.,,,,that's such garbage....she's totally playing him....
It was a nice touch having Felicity speak in French. I've been waiting for them to use this angle for a year. After all Sally is Felicity's French Teacher that she worked with......
I must say that the writing on this show is still spectacular even though I pick it apart every week...

Gia brought up a great point....We keep hearing that Noel is various ages. The one episode he's a couple of years older than first year college students that would make him 20/21 now in another episode he says he's waited 19 years for something......what age is he???
So Ben invites Maggie to Vermont for the weekend.....I wonder if he was asking her to go to the same place he and Julie visited over Christmas break???
I don't think the segment with David getting up and leaving Felicity at the table was very clearly written....he says he doesn't trust himself with other people....what does this have to do with Felicity dating Ben and Noel??? He never asked her about past relationships and vice versa so why would he be upset at himself....?
Felicity says at one point in the show that she'll call David later...this is after she finds out she can't stay at his apartment because it's being fumigated. So where did he stay and why is he still there?
I don't believe that Ruby wouldn't have burst into Noel's apartment and told him the news about the movie part after she apologized to him....she's acting just a bit too cool about the whole thing. Most girls would be a bit more excited about kissing Tom Cruise in their first movie part.....
I don't believe that Meghan would sleep with looser boy.....after putting him down for the whole season....it's very unlike her.
And last but not least....You can't catch Mono from the air....it's not contagious like that you either have to exchange bodily fluids or have a low white blood cell count....so nice try......you can't sneeze on someone or breath on someone and get it....

So this episode must have been fun to tape. I hear it's really hard to work with animals on the set. Happy the Dog was a nice addition to this episode.
So Maggie comes crawling back to Ben and wants to have an affair with him and he takes her back!!!! Ben will never learn will he? And then she sends her husband to order a cake from him! Most women who have affairs don't inadvertently have their husband and lover meet. Women are much smarter than this.
Noel gets bit by Lucky, who we find out has distemper. He doesn't go to the hospital??? This is a bit strange.....Noel being a bit of a hypochondriac....I think he would've gone.
So Felicity and Noel are now talking about the mystery of not having sex.....weird....you'd think after all the effort he went through he would've liked to have had sex with Felicity....but he's reveling in the fact he didn't......???
I now assume that Ruby is filming the movie she got a part in....in the last episode didn't she say she was leaving in 2 weeks to tape for 3 weeks???
Elaina says that Felicity has an issue with sex.....don't you think she does as well. She seems to be very carefree about this subject like she wants everyone to have it as much as possible. If she's studying to be a doctor don't you think that aids would enter into her perspective a little bit?
Poor Sean.....why doesn't he tell Julie how he feels? He had less problems dating that librarian girl - Chloe.....who disappeared without a trace.
Is it just me or is Julie's character getting smaller and smaller each episode. Last episode Julie was in one scene and this time she was in one or two......is she working on other projects or what?
We see very little of actual classroom scenes in this season.....they are in school so I find this a little weird. All we see are the 3 apartments, the front of the school and Maggie's Catering and Dean and Deluca......???
So Felicity has an issue with sex.....then why did she have it so easily in the end???? She would've waited if it was a real issue.....
David gets so upset with Felicity for not having sex with him - give it a rest..most people really don't know each other that well after a month of dating so why not wait???
They put Lucky the Dog to sleep at the end of this episode....so the topic of euthanasia comes up.....very interesting topic to discuss. I wonder if Felicity believes in it???

So Ruby is back! She says she got let off the movie set to write an Economy final??? AS IF! Do you think Hollywood stops for a nobody so they can write a final? I think not.
Noel is so obviously unsure of him and Ruby so he buys 3 gifts???? WEIRD! He is so confused and unknowing of the whole situation because he obviously likes Felicity. Why can't he see it? He gives her this speech about the motor cycle.....obviously not knowing where he really stands.....
Felicity keeps having weird dreams so she tells Noel she wants him back? This seems a bit weird even for her. Do you really think that because of a dream you should spill your guts. Felicity has been really good at hiding her feelings and now she just finds it uncontrollable because of a series of dreams? I think she's more of a rock than that.
Ben reads the wrong book for finals? Didn't he see others in his class carrying around a different book then he was?
Julie meets this guy from a record company who Shawn doesn't like so he says the guy is slimy. Did anyone else see the way the guys were quietly duelling over Julie or was it just me. I believe Shawn was right in the fact that he knows the other guy is interested in Julie.
Lucky the dog appears in Felicity's dream......so what is this ?

Did anyone else think this episode was one of the best written in a long time? Gia and I did.
BUT!!!!
Felicity used to be Daddy's girl and now she can't stand to even be around her Dad? Very unlike her. This really shows that her character is growing up which is nice.
I think that it was very unrealistic that Felicity had Ben almost naked in a pool and she didn't even try to kiss him after being obsessed with him for years????
Elaina - I get the feeling that the 3 legged frog toys that she's making could lead her to some fame and fortune with the toy companies - maybe she's on her way to dropping medical studies to be in the business field - ....?
Julie tells Sean that there is no hanky panky going on with the music producer - and yet he does have these intentions towards her...he tried to kiss her - how evident he has more than just her music career in mind.
Sean- what the hell???? He should've told Julie how he felt - except that the writer's have her being a bit too business like around Shawn. I personally think that she knows....he likes her.
Noel - please ditch Ruby - she doesn't have the imagination to realize that it's a frog he gives her.....talk about no creativitiy in her body. How can he relate to someone like that.
What was Meghan talking to Mr. Porter about? Why didn't Felicity ask her about it?
The perfect parents are getting separated. Why would her Dad move in on her territory when it's so evident that she is happy on her own? But like I said she used to be a Daddy's girl and he thinks she still is.

So I finally saw the Black and White episode.....WOW! I loved it.
I don't have much of a critic on this one except - who ever thought that Meghan's parents would have said that a bunch of voodo dolls in her box would be disgraceful???? Remember when Felicity covered for her when her parent's looked in the box in a past episode????? Voodo dolls aren't "Disgraceful and disgusting" so I think the writer's changed their minds about what was originally in the box....(editor's note.. In my opinion, I don't think that is what is really in her box... )
Very original episode......I though it was great. I totally jumped at the corpse in the body bag.....!.....

That new counsellor was sure weird huh???? I mean I see what she is saying about Felicity being too nicey nicey but my god if Felicity was really as angry as she said she was. The counsellor would have a broken nose by now.
Ruby is pregnant....isn't that lovely.....and Noel took it sitting down - I DON'T BLOODY THINK SO! As if Mr Nerotic wouldn't be falling off his chair.......I think Ruby is scared of loosing him and it's a scare to stay with her.
What's with Ben dropping out of school? He's living on the basket ball court in NYC after dark and still around to talk about it???? YEAH SURE! He would've been mugged by now....and he worked so hard to stay in school after that whole Felicity writing his paper episode. As if he has the cash either after his gambling debts.....I'm sure he's still paying back.....
Elena has a new hottie as a study partner......think any studying will happen?

ARTICLE 12 Felicity's Inconsistencies (from the last 3 episodes) By Rosemary Wilson So here we have Ruby cheating on Noel....it didn't surprise me...did it surprise you? I didn't think so...Richard's instincts were so correct....so they're friends....GOOD FOR NOEL...... I think that Ben should get his act together and tell Felicity how he feels...it's really starting to piss me off already and same with Sean. What have these guys got to loose...nothing unless they don't ask. I hope things work out for both couples. Does it seem that Felicity really does go after guys that seem to reject her to you? So if you want her...ignore her and treat her like crap....Noel treated her well and he got no where if you look at the big picture. What's this about the school not punishing both people for drinking on campus in the pool? As if they'd be kicked out to set a precedent that this behavior is really not acceptable in anyone's eyes... The whole 7 layers of wallpaper thing was a bit much don't you think? I have to admit the whole WHIP IT dance number was fun though. I think the whole contents of the box thing was a total disappointment though...they could've done so much with it. Sorry I've been avoiding all of my readers...but I'm BACK!!so here is an article that hopefully makes up for the lack of attention...
So Felicity is dating this Greg guy.....Ben is so obviously jealous....why can't she see this??? What happened to women's 6th sense.....
Julie and Noel??? What's the story with that? She seems interested but he's been messed around too much I think....
Elaina and Tracey??? Come on Elaina if a guy told you he was going to be a virgin until marriage wouldn't you commend him for his total sense of control not his lack of experience?
I totally think that Felicity's new guy is a lamo!!!! Asking her to go away for the weekend and expecting her to go after wrecking a lot of her campaign props???? Give me a break.....
Richard going out his way to wreck the campaign of Greg....was totally in character....I LOVED HIS PIZZA CAMPAIGN....at least he was going after something attainable....
