In an effort to encourage people to read the whole Word of God, we are offering a program called "Read the Bible Through In A Year". In the event of bad weather, OCC will always have Sunday morning services unless the State Police declare a state of emergency ordering people to stay off the roads. We ask that members take great caution and use their own discretion in determining whether to attend in those conditions. All Bible Studies, youth programs and other church activities will follow what the area school does: 1) No school, no programs; 2) If kids go on a delay all activities resume after the time set by the school (i.e., the schools go in at 10 a.m, Bible Study will start at 10 a.m.); 3) If school is released early due to inclement weather, the activities for that evening are cancelled. If there are any questions, listen to the Paoli & French Lick radio stations for notices.
If there is a storm warning (tornado, etc.), remember we try to get the church building open for those of our area who do not have basements or storm cellars, all area residents are welcome. In case of a power outage, bring a flashlight and/or a battery operated radio. Especially if it can receive WWG72 (162.500 MHz) which is the NOAA Weather Radio station at Georgia IN. Orleans Christian Church is a supporting member church of Wonder Valley Christian Camp. WVCC provides camps for kindergartners through graduating seniors. There's regular camp opportunities, and also wilderness camps with tents and cooking your own food, Handicamp for the physically and mentally challenged, Happy Day camp for the little ones, and over night, two day, three day, and all week experiences for the older kids.
