Haiku

Yes, I know real haiku have seasonal references. And some of these might not even turn out be 3-5-3 or 5-7-5 on a strict recount. So sue me, it's the thought that counts.

1.
Iridescent wings
Seeking nectar, remind me
That I once knew you.

2.
Starcross'd voyager,
Do not the vast gulfs of space
Make you long for home?

2a.
The void is not home
But 'tis all I ever knew
It will have to do.

3.
Time heals, yet time can
Be the greatest wound of all:
This rupturing force.

4.
All day it's nineteen:
Thank heavens for that slit in
The restroom window.

5.
rm star o
Oh lord my lord no:
That darn space!
6.
My happiness is
Complete when I see you sad:
Was it always thus?

7.
You say you love me:
Yet is not the essence of
True love letting go?

8.
Dusk falls on my day,
Dawn on yours: these gulfs will tear
Us apart for sure.

9.
Don't you detest this
Veneer -- civilization --
These masks we put on?

10.
Yet the masks have their
Uses: for the naked face can
Be too much to bear.

11.
Morality -- taught
Early, untaught ever since: why does
That not amuse me?
