Goldeneye

Being that I dont want to spoil the plot for the very, very few of you who havent seen the movie. But do I really need to make any intro other than: You are Bond, James Bond. (sorry but I had to say it) History has decreed that no really good game can come of a movie license, but those at Rare have shattered this assumption. In the process, they have created one of the greatest video games of all time, and the best reason to own an N64 outside of Zelda.

GRAPHICS: Incredible, smooth moving levels and enemies, with an incredible attention to detail. The falling snow, the explosions, the intro, the bulletholes you leave in the walls and your enemies..I could go on for awhile!

SOUND: Tense and taught soundtrack, the Bond theme song is captured perfectly, and on cartridge no less! And dont even get me started on the effects..AHH! Someone's shooting at me!

CONTROL: Not too tight, not too loose on the analog, a pitfall many N64 games frequently fall into. And ah garontee you will flash your "evil" smirk when you put a guard down with a perfectly placed bullet to the back of the head.

GAMEPLAY: The sheer size and scope of the enviornment is incredible. The objectives vary well from level to level. Difficulty settings cater to the skills of all gamers. And secrets up the wazoo mean you WILL be playing this one for a good long while. So now to find a flaw in an otherwise flawless game, hmm, well, the ending leaves a little to be desired. But this is the only confines set by the movie on which the game falls to.

GRAPHICS: 10 SOUND: 9 CONTROL: 9 GAMEPLAY: 10 OVERALL: 10

By now, every self-respecting N64 owner has this game. If you dont, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!? And if you've sold it, turn around and hold still, so my "friend" has good view of the back of your head...
