I would like to start
out this statement by saying that I based these papers on the United Church
of Christ (UCC) "
Statement of faith ".
I believe in God. I believe
in something that was hard for me to comprehend, and difficult to believe.
The only
known solution that is easy to understand that
he is there, watching over us is faith. We have to believe in god. If we
don't or can't ask yourself, "What is our destination?"
I believe in the eternal
spirit. I believe he is the only spirit, or leader. There has been very
bad situations in this world, such as devil worshiping, witchcraft, or
idolizing other so called "gods", which is wrong in the eyesof god. But
people like this cannot be changed by other people, but only by god.
Father of our lord Jesus
Christ. I believe that our father saw that in the future there would be
much corruption
between beings on earth. So as a solution he
would make a human committing no sins, or crimes. Which mortal can do
without being with god. This mortal would be
man, and named Jesus. He would save us from having to sacrifice an animal,
and getting blood on our hands, or hearing the
"chop, chop" of a knife which would probably make us faint or vomit these
days. He would also show us how to be more like
him and, show us the way of life.
And to his deeds we
testify. I believe that in order for god to forgive our sins we have to
confess or tel him what we
have done wrong and ask him to forgive us. Sometimes
when we get frustrated with god, thinking hes not there, or that he
is pushing us to the limits, he will put us back
into his path. For example... My dad had a very bad accident the
2
years ago. At that time he was having a very
rough time with god. I believe that god put my dad back onto the ladder.
Life can be compared to many things. But the
one thing I can most grasp with, is that life is a ladder, and god is holding
our hand, helping us climb it. You can grip his
hand and let him lift you up to the heavens. Or you can let go and fall
to
the fiery hell on the earth below.
He calls the world into
being. I believe that god made many worlds with many beings. Maybe someday
we will meet some
of gods other creations. The ceation that god
created that we live in is in the earth. I believe that he took nothing
and
made it into something.
He creates man in his
own image. He made man and woman in the way he wished. So there would be
life, and love.
Unfortunately, not everybody is like this.
He sets before him the
ways of life and death. I believe He gives us two lives the life in the
being and the life in
the spirit. The body dies and the spirit lives
on.
He seeks Holy Love to
save all people from aimlessness, and sin. I believe that this statement
says he loves
everybody, even the thugs on the street or the
people that are homeless, and everybody. He tries to save people from
slipping and falling from the ladder.
He judges men and nations.
I believe that God decides whether the men and women he helped climb the
ladder tried
their best to go with him. If they didn't try
and they just let god hang on while they dangled there. They would then
slip and fall because they do not have the desire
to be up in the heavens. Oppositely if you tried to make it to heaven
he
would let you. But still god wishes all men and
women to reach the top. He judges nations. I believe that he does the
same thing as if all the nations were separate
men, and women. This is at certain nations disadvantages, because
certain nations are bitter enemies, or at war,
or civil war, or the nation are both at war, and bitter enemies.
These
nations have leaders or dictators that lead and
turn people away from god. But there are certain nations such as the
U.S.A. that keep peace among other countries
and are supposedly good in the eyes of god.
By his righteous will
declared through prophets and apostles. I believe that he tells the
mortals of the earth
what is acceptable and what is unacceptable.
What he believes is true. As if the Supreme Court Judge decides
whether a person has committed a crime or not.
Whatever the Judge decides it is carried out.
In Jesus Christ, the
man of Nazareth, our crucified, and risen lord,.Jesus, who was crucified
for all of our sins, was
human in the flesh. He came from Nazareth. Born
as a human. I Believe Jesus was known as our lord since he had been the
savior, or son of God. He was only popular among
the people, and his disciples, but a demon to the high priests. For Jesus
would lead them from the high priests way and
toward God, which would ruin their wealth. They then hung him on the
cross to die so the people couldn't follow him
anymore. But his spirit was risen from his sinless but beaten, and bloody
body, ascending into heaven to sit on the right
hand of God.
He has come to us and
shared his common lot. He had daily experiences, chores, responsibilities,
and thoughts of
the human kind, as he came to us in human form.
Conquering sin and death.
I Believe that Jesus did not sin against god therefore conquering the definition
of sin in
his life. He did not die spiritually, because
you can definitely here people talking about him today. He did not
die from the crowds of people in the world.
And Reconciling the
world to himself. I believe he gave the world another chance from all the
sins of all the people
so they would not have to sacrifice an animal.
He bestows upon us the Holy
Spirit. I believe That he guides us with his spirit put into us, so we
can better
follow his ways. Without Jesus, the world would
not exist today.
Creating and Renewing
the church of Jesus Christ,. I believe that Jesus called all of his disciples,
followers,
and listeners together to form the church. The
church consisted basically of the people of God, each with their own
ability to serve.
Binding in the covenant
faithful people of all ages, tongues, and races. I believe that Jesus put
us together as a
community, regardless of our race, age, or accent.
This is not always, but still thought to be true today. For some
races such as blacks, red, or white skinned people
have turned from each other because of belief, or looks.
He calls us into his
church to accept the cost and joy of discipleship,. I believe he gives
us the chance to grasp
the joy of discipleship by having the joy of
giving, prayer, and thoughts for others. Though there are responsibilities
you as a disciple follow by doing things, such
as giving canned foods, or money, confessing to God your sins.
To be his servants in
the service of men,. I believe that We men and Women can be servants to
our god by spreading
his word, helping others, and many other ways.
To proclaim the gospel
and all the world and resist the powers of evil,. I believe that
this says we should tell
everybody about god spread as we the word of
of our god and his love.
To share in Christ's
baptism and eat at his table,. I believe that this statement says that
we should baptize our
children to share the bread of the body and the
wine of the blood. So that our sins may be forgiven. To baptize our
children is for the parents to take a vow to
lead our children the best way the parents can lead the children to
god. This is important because god gets a firmer
grip on your hand.
To join him in his passion
and victory. I believe that we should follow gods footsteps so that we
can share with him
in the victory of God, and the passionate love
for all beings.
He promises to all who
trust him forgiveness of sins and fullness of grace,. I believe that if
we trust him God will
give the grace of faithfulness and the forgiveness
of sins to us, which is desperately needed in the world today.
Courage in the struggle
for justice and peace,. I believe god will give us faith, or courage in
the steep,
unbalanced ladder we are climbing, when we are
struggling to stay with the grip of his hand.
His presence in trial
and rejoicing,. I believe that when we are happy that we have reached our
goal he is there
with us rejoicing.
And eternal life in
his kingdom which shall have no end. I believe in the last thing which
is most difficult from my
point of view, which is ever lasting life.
And let us remember that everlasting means having no end.
Blessing and Honor,
glory and power be unto him, Amen.
