4 lb stew meat
2 t margarine
1 1/2 C onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic
2 T oil
2 cans tomatoes
1 can tomato paste
1 t worchestershire sauce
3 or 4 T chili powder
1 T salt
1 t beef stock base
1/2 to 3/4 C water
1 T dark brown sugar
1 pkg Carroll Shelby's Chili mix
1/2 t Tony's Cajun/Creole blend |
Mix all of these together in a large pot.
Cook for 1 1/2 hours, stir occasionally.
Add 3 cans of kidney beans.
Cook one hour, stir occasionally.
Add 1/4 C cornstarch to thicken, watch out for lumps!
Garnish bowls of chili with 2 sliced green peppers...seeded.
