Mystic Knights Stuff
The above is from a can of Mystic Knights of Tir-Na-Nog pasta. I was rather surprised to find it at a local large grocery chain. The cans run about 75¢ - $1.00. Right now they are running a promotion on all cans, get a FREE Mystic Knights Action figure when you purchase 2 cans and any toy. Good through April 2000.

The video contains the four episodes where the four knights get their amour. "Fire Dragon of Dare" - the first is where Rohan obtains his Mystic Armour from the Ice Cell, by fighting the Ice Lord. "Tash Hound of Temra" - the second is where Deirdre fights the Lightning Bat to obtain her armour. "Ivar and the Sea Serpent" - the third is where Ivar must choose between illusion and reality to obtain his armour from the Sea Serpent of Temra. "The Wolf in the Rocks" - the fourth is where Angus must look within himself for the strength needed to overcome the Rock Wolf and obtain his Mystic Armour. The shows are run without breaks, so it makes it appear as if you are watching a movie. It runs 80 minutes long and is available at Border Books and Music as well as other music and video stores. It generally runs around $14.99.
There are also now Mystic Knights books available. They are not expensive, running right around $4.00 each. They can be ordered from Borders or Barnes and Noble. The first one is now available and the second one in June 1999 and the third one in August 1999. I will add a synopsis of each one as I read them. I just got the first in the Mystic Knighs book series. They are choose you own adventure books. It's small, 81 pps.
Mystic Knights #1: Legend of the Ancient Scroll ISBN# 0061071609 - NOW AVAILABLE!
This book is the first two episodes, "Legend of the Ancient Scroll" and "Tir-Na-Nog" combined. It is a choose your own adventure type book. There are some things in the book which did not figure in the actual airing of the show. Pay close attention the the description of what Angus goes through as his test.
Mystic Knights#2: Fire Within, Air Above ISBN# 0061071617 - NOW AVAILABLE!
This is the next two episodes, "The Fire Dragon of Dare" and "Tash Hound of Temra" combined. Rohan and Deirdre must face the Ice Lord of Temra and the Lightning Bat of Temra to gain their Mystic Armour. This is also a choose your own adventure book.

March 13-19 issue of TV Guide has an article about the Mystic Knights. It's a short one page article on page 40. Thanks to those at TV Guide for giving the show a good review.
The Fall 1998 issue of the Fox Kids Club Magazine has a section in it devoted to the Little People from the Mystic Knights of Tir-Na-Nog. There is also an issue of the Magazine where the Mystic Knights take you on a tour of the castles of Ireland. If anyone knows which issue that is, please mail me.
