2 weeks later...............

Ring! Ring!

"I'll get it." I screamed from upstairs. I ran downstairs and picked upthe phone. "Hello Dear." Mom said from the phone."Hey mom." I answered back."How are you girls?" "Oh, we're fine. We're doing good." "Well, I just called to tell you that me and your dad won't be home for a month." "Why?" I answered. "Well, you know, business. And anyways, you girls are probably happy that me and your father aren't there." "Yeah, sorta, but we do sorta miss you guys." Mary walked in and heard me say that and she asked, "Who is it?" "It's mom." I answered her. "Suck up." She said and went to go pour a glass of cold water and started to drink it. "Shut up Mary." I said. Mom heard me and said, "Are you two girls getting along, or are your two fighting?" "We're getting along alright. But we sometimes fight, but it's no biggie." "Well, that's good to hear." Mom said and continued, "I better be going,we have to fly to China tonight for our business trip and I want to get some rest." "Okay." I said, "I'll talk to you later." Mary looked at me and said,"Tell her I said bye." "Mom, Mary said bye too." "Tell her bye and I'll see you two girls in a month." Mom said andcontinued, "Bye." "Bye mom." And I hung up the phone.

"What did she say?" Mary said, sitting down on one of the chairs in the kitchen. "Oh, she just said that they won't be back for a month and it's because of business and don't fight, and, I love you bye bye." I said sitting next to Mary. "A month!" Mary screamed out. "Yeah a month." I said staring at her. "Why so long?" "I don't know, she said it was because of business or something. They're flying to China tonight." Mary stared at the table then said, "Oh well, at least we have the whole house for ourselves." "Yeah that's good." I said.

Then we both sat there talking for five minutes until the phone rang. I stood up and picked up the phone. "Hello." I said. "Hey Charissa, is your sister there." "Oh hey, yeah she's here, hold on." Then I put the reciever away from my ear and looked at Mary and said, "Phone." She sat up and took it away from me. "Hey JC," Mary said all happy. The two have been talking a lot lately. Even though JC has been away for a while, they seemed to have been able to keep in touch for the past two weeks. Seems like they're getting along fine. "Ooooh, it's JC." I said with a smile on my face.Mary stared at me and said, " Shut up."

I looked at her and walked out the kitchen to the living room. I sat down and turned on the tv and started to watch whatever was on. I sat there on the couch for 30 minutes until I heard Mary coming. She walked in the living room all happy and sat down next to me. She took the remote away from my hand and turned off the tv. "Hey, I was watching that." I said all annoyed."Well, who cares. I got's something to tell you." Mary said. "What?" "N SYNC has got's the month off." Mary said and continued, "and their manager said that they don't have to worry about concerts and photoshoot's. The manager will handle it. But the only thing they have to worry about is publicity and fans. And JC asked us to stay there with them for a month. And he allowed me to invite a couple of friends." I stared at Mary with disbelief. I didn't want to come there. The fact of me putting up with Justin for a whole month. Nope. This will be a long month, I thought to myself. "Aren't you happy?" Mary said with a huge smile on her face. Then she said, "And we're leaving tomorrow." "Tomorrow?!" I said with my eyes wide open. "We can't leave tomorrow," I continued, "I don't like the idea Mary." "Why? Is it because of what happened last time with you and Justin? Is that the reason why you don't want to go." Mary said to me. "Yes-no, I don't know." I said very confused. "Listen, there must be a good explanation why Justin snapped at you that time. Just let him explain. Listen to his side of the story. You don't know, maybe something might happen." "Whatever Mary. Nothings gonna happen." I said, shaking my head side to side. "Hey, you never know." She said very serious.

Back at Justin's house.............."Who were you talking to?" Justin asked when he walked in the livingroom and saw JC hang up the phone. "Oh, nobody. Just Mary." JC said. "Oh, Mary again. You guys-" JC looked at Justin and said, "No, no, no, no, me and Mary are just friends. That's it." "Yeah, that what they all say." Justin said. "I'm serious. We're just friends." JC said, trying to sound convincing. "Uh-huh." Is all Justin could say. JC looked at Justin and said, "People are coming tomorrow." Justin looked at him and said, "Who?." "Mary and Charissa and a couple friends." Charissa, Justin thought. The name just brought back what happened the last time they talked with each other. Justin looked away from JC and said, "I don't think I like the idea." JC studied the guy for a while and said, "Is it because of what happened the last time." Justin nodded. "Justin, just forget about it. She probably has a good explanation about what happened. Just listen to what she has to say and maybe...." JC trailed off and Justin looked at him all weird. "Maybe what?" Justin said confused. "Maybe something will happen." JC said with a smile. "Nothings gonna happen." "You don't know." JC said. "You just don't know."
