"How Do I Get There?"

Chapter 6

**JUSTIN'S POINT OF VEIW**

'Oh my…. What did I just do???' was all I could think. I had promised Lance that nothing would happen between Tamara and I because Joey and another one of the female singers Lance used to manage dated and when they broke up the girl had broke her contract and Lance didn't want that to happen with Tamara. and I had just broke that promise. I ran toward the door as it opened and Lance walked in. "Lance! How are you buddy?" I asked a little to eagerly. He looked at me like I was crazy. "Justin are you okay? " I pretended that he was talking nonsense "Yeah. Why wouldn't I be." Lance looked past me and nodded towards whatever he was looking at "And her?". I turned around and looked over at Tamara who had her head on the console. I thought of a quick excuse. "Tamara? Oh well she said she was tired in the limo and she's just probably dozing off. " I chuckled nervously as I walked over to Tamara and nudged her . "Tamara . Get up. Lance is here." She quietly rose her head looked at me with a look that for the first time I couldn't tell what she was thinking. Then she stood up and walked over to Lance. "So Lance when can we start recording?" He smiled at her. "Just as soon as the producers get here."

As I sat behind the soundproof glass I was amazed at what I heard over the speakers. I had never known that Tamara's voice was so good. It was so good that it made country music, a thing that I hadn't liked since I was 8, actually sound good. Maybe it was what had happened earlier that day or maybe it was the fact that I had really gotten to know her well in the previous two weeks but when she finished the song and Lance called it a cut I ran into the room and hugged Tamara. "Wow Tamara that was great, You were great, you are great. You are so beautiful." I was really suprised at my last comment, I had blurted it out before I had a chance to think about it, And apperantly so was Tamara. Before either she or I could reply Lance walked into the room and hugged Tamara. "Tamara, that was a really good...No a really GREAT performance! Believe me when I say that I think that getting you a record deal will be no problem." Tamara Was so happy that I thought that she forgot about what I had said. Well you know what they say. Even the great ones can't always be right.
