Well here I am once again in this empty restaurant. How did I end up getting a job here? Here at Burgers Galore. My friends all got jobs at Subway and Burger King and places like that but where did I get stuck at the new burger joint where Burger King next door is eating us alive. Well its 4pm not prime time for dinner not like the restaurant is full during dinnertime anyway, but hey I get paid. In an hour my shift is over then I hop in my car I drive for 10 minutes then at 8pm I get to see NSYNC. Oh my gosh, I am so excited I cant wait. I'm going with my best friend Rachel. Ring, ring

“Hello Burgers Galore, how can I help you?”

“Hey Jessi its Rachel”

“Your still going to meet me here at five right?” all of the sudden from the other side of the line I could hear her voice drop.

“Jessi you know that guy Peter that I've had a crush on since like fourth grade.”

“Yeah”

“Well he asked me out.”

“He didn't ask you out for tonight did he?”

“Jessi he did and I couldn't say no”

“Rach we’ve been planing this for months, how could you do this?

“As a matter of fact I am more concerned about getting Peter to be my boyfriend, then going to see your stupid NSYNC guys which you’ll never meet!”

“Rachel go out with Peter, see if I care if you ditch me” I screamed in to the phone and slammed it down. When I looked forward there were five guys standing in front of the counter wearing sunglasses and hats they looked extremely familiar. I assumed that they must have come in while I was screaming at Rachel. They all looked at each other and shrugged their shoulders.

“Welcome to Burgers Galore, how can I help you?”

One of the guys wearing a baby blue hat and really dark sunglasses so I couldn’t see his eyes, he asked me “Are you o.k.”

I said “If I talk on the job about my personal life I’ll get fired.

He looked at me and said “Whose going to here” the rest of the guys looked at me to urge me to talk.

“Well my best friend since like the day I was born, well she decided she was going to go on a date with a guy instead of going to a concert with me tonight which we have been planing for months.”

Another guy with a superman hat on asked “what concert?”

"You’ll probably make fun of me for telling but I’m going to a NSYNC concert." All of the sudden their faces lit up with really big smiles and I was still thinking to myself they look so familiar. “Well enough about me what do you guys want to eat?” A guy wearing a red hat answered “we’ll all have burgers and fries and cokes.”

"No problem that’ll be $17.50," they paid and sat down glancing over at me I tried not to look. They finished their burgers and cleaned off the table. So I would stop looking at the guys I started singing to myself For the Girl Who has everything and cleaned the counter.

They stopped at the counter on their way out and the guy with the baby blue hat said “Hey”.

Completely startled I said “hey.”

Then he asked me “is that you’re favorite song?”

“Oh my gosh you heard me singing”

While laughing he said “yeah we heard you but you sounded really good.”

“Well to answer you’re question yeah that’s my favorite song.

As he was walking toward the door he said “we’ll see you later and what’s your name?”

“My names Jessi” then he walked out the door I still couldn’t kick the feeling that I Knew who they were. Oh well.

Well at five I left hoped into my car and the radio turned on automatically and was playing God Must Have Spent A little More Time on You. I was feeling pretty lonely without Rachel but that song made me feel better.
