"Night Of Rebellion"

Standing outside of "Express" I started to feel uneasy. Express was the hottest club around. And me and my friends wanted to go there so bad that they had surprised me earlier that day with the news that we we're going. But there were only two problems.

One- it was and 18 and over club

Two- I was only 14

I looked at the piece of plastic in my hand. "Patty James. 24 years old.. 24 years? What the." My friend Mel turned around. "Hush! JB Look if it doesn't work the worst thing that can happen is he won't let you in the club. And if you don't go I won't go. Okay?" "Okay." The line was still about an hour-long s I just leaned against a wall and started thinking about stuff. Not just one thing. Like a million things at once. About my brother Joey home after 3 months on tour. About my goldfish at home. And Trying to figure out what I was even doing there. JB the do gooder. I had never disobeyed my parents. But it was like something I had to do. Maybe not cause I wanted to go to the club. But maybe cause I was finally breaking a rule. And a big one at that. But I did want my best friend Justin to be there. I was going to ask him but when I asked if he had plans he said him and the rest of *N SYNC and my brother Steven were going to go "Find some Fly Hunnies!" I simply rolled my eyes and left him playing video games. For a guy who was my BIG crush, he sure was immature at times. But I guess all men are.

Finally when we got to the bouncer, I took a deep breath. I was the first one to show my card and handed him the card. The one movement that would change the night. He handed it back. "Head on in." I acted cool and entered the open door, even if I was on the inside I was about to break out into a touchdown dance. "Hey I AM 18!" I turned around to see my friends being turned away. I was going to go after them but Mel gave me a look that said 'Stay. Ill find you later.' Poor Mel. I didn't want to leave her to be the only girl of the group. But when I saw the club I couldn't even remember her name. "Oh my…." To say the least it was slammin'! Lights, Music, tons of people. It beat whatever fantasy I had about it to a pulp. This was way better! I pushed my way through the clouds to find the bar. As soon as I sat down I felt someone tapping me on the shoulder. I slightly turned around to face a really hot guy. Even though he was really cute, he had to be at least 25 and that was WAY to old.

"Hi!" He shouted over the loud music." I just gave a small wave. "Can I buy you a drink?" That caught my attention. I forgot that Mel had a lot of my money. All I had was about 10 bucks. Enough for a cab ride home. "Sure!" He sat down beside me and extended his hand. "I'm Bryan." I shook his hand. "I'm J--James. Patty James. " "Well James. Patty James. What would you like to drink?" I was about to say 'Dr.pepper' but I really doubted that a 24-year-old would but a Dr.pepper. "Ill take a Strawberry Wine Cooler." He ordered our drinks and returned his attention to me. "That's an nice outfit your wearing." I looked down at my knee length leather Skirt and deep red 3-quarter sleeved shirt I was wearing. "Thanks." He leaned over. "Do you look as nice without those on as you do with them?" My eyes grew wide and I felt my face getting hotter by the second. So I wouldn't have to answer as soon as our drinks came I took a big sip of my drink and looked at the dance floor. "Hey you wanna dance?" This time it wasn't Bryan talking. I looked up at another guy staring at me. He was younger than 25 but had to be at least 21. I shrugged my shoulders. He looked like he belonged at a frat party but he was still cute. "Why not?"
'anything to get away from that pervert.'

The dance floor was more packed than I originally thought. A fast song was playing and I was actually happy that we didn't have to dance close. Well I never said I'm always right. He pulled me real close to him and started moving to the music. "I'm Mikey by the way." After a few seconds I started to move along with him. "I'm Patty." "Cute name." I laughed. "Well it's no Jessica but it will have to do!" He looked at me quizzically but kept dancing. I still had my wine cooler in my hand so I kept taking small sips. When it was empty Mikey offered to buy me another one.
'Hey. I could get used to this.
I was having a great time! But yet I was so blind about what was about to happen a few hours later.

About 6 dances. 7 drinks. And 5 guys later I had to sit down somewhere. I was a little lightheaded but nowhere near drunk. Leaning against a railing I heard three female voices behind me.

"Guys you will not believe who I just danced with?" The first one giggled.

"Who?" The other 2 inquired.

"This guy who looked JUST LIKE JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE!"

"AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!" I had to hold on to my ears.

As they walked away I just laughed.
You guys might know a look a like but I know the real thing.'
A guy wrapped his arms around me. "Patty you owe me a dance." He said in a sing song voice. "Okay Bryan. ONE dance." I mean he did buy me a drink. One dance wouldn't kill me. Would it? When we started dancing, the closer Bryan got the more I wanted to hurl. But the final straw was when he grabbed my butt. "OKAY! DANCE OVER!" I started walking away from him. "Oh no you don't. One full dance for one full drink." He grabbed my arm. I pulled away. "Trust me you just got one full handful for that drink." I waved and started walking away as the music stopped. "I SAID NO YOU DON'T!" He screamed and grabbed my arm. People were starting to look at us but I had enough. "You know what. NO YOU DON'T. YOU PATHETIC PERV!" I punched him in the nose. When he finally got back up I grabbed him by the shoulders. "AND ANOTHER THING." With that I racked him. "WHEN I SAY NO! I MEAN NO!" I felt a two strong pairs of hands start to drag me away. Thinking it was the bouncers I didn't care. But when we got to a lighted area. It was a whole other story. "Ohhh Nooo."

I looked to the left of me. "Hi Steven." I looked to the right of me. "Hi Joey." I looked ahead of me. "Hi JC, Lance and Chris." Then saw a bleached blond bounding through the crowds looking at about 100 pieces of paper in his hands. "Hey guys! 27 Phone Numbers! Who Da' Man ?? I say Who Da' Man? And did y'all hear about that fight I heard some girl kicked this guy's a- " As soon as he looked up and saw me he stopped dead in his tracks. "JB?" "Hi Justin. I didn't kick his but. I kicked him somewhere else." Joey pulled on my arm. Come on we are taking YOU home! And what were you doing here. How did you get in? Huh?" That basically went on until we got home. But don't worry, my parents took over from there! Goody!

"JB we trusted you! And you violated that! You are grounded for a year!" I stood up. "Mom it was my first offense. At least jail gives me one phone call and 6 months maximum!" "Jessica!" My father's voice boomed. "You are also losing all Television, Telephone and Computer privliges for a month!" "Aww daddy!" That's when Joey walked in. "Mom, Dad I need to talk to you in private." Before anyone could say anything I darted to my room where Justin was waiting. He didn't say a word. He knew I was in trouble. "Justin I'm real tired. And lightheaded." He shook his head and began to unmake my bed. "That's what you get for drinking." I looked at him. "How did you know I was- never mind I don't wanna know." I said as he left my room. I quickly changed and got in bed. Thinking about that night. Was it really worth it? Probably not. But one thing was for sure. That night would always be in my mind. And who knew that one night could change my whole life.

Joey looked at my parents. "Mom , Dad you know how you said I should always spend more time with J.B.?" They nodded "yeah" "On the way home tonight I got a way to keep an eye on her. Well as y'all know our new tour starts in 3 months. Anyways, Mom dad I got an idea."
