Chapter eight of "Soulmates" by Nicole.

JC and Jana spent the next two hours talking to Mike Andrews. Mike Andrews had been a family friend to the couple. JC had been right with his notion. He thought that Mike Andrews and the wife Julie were more then “just friends”. They had finally found the skeleton they needed. After their meeting with Mr. Andrews the pair went back to their office to make note of it all and put the pieces together.

“Great job JC! We might actually win this case!” Jana said and on impulse gave him a hug.

“Thanks but I couldn’t of done it without you.” JC whispered into her ear sending shivers down her spine. Jana raised her head, and they were instantly in an intense stare. They were sent into a dream world. They were about to kiss when the door opened and Brian walked in sending the two out of each other’s arms and out of their dream world.

“So guys did you find all those skeletons?” Brain asked in his usually arrogant tone.

“Just enough to win the case.” JC answered slightly annoyed that Brian had interrupted.

“Of course, we can’t thank you for any help.” Jana mumbled. JC tried not to laugh.

“Did you say something Jana?” Brain asked.

“Who me? No I didn’t say anything, must be hearing things Brian?” Jana said trying to suppress her own laughter.

“Is something wrong you two?” Brian asked slightly confused. “Oh well, I will see you guys at three.”

When he finished with the two he left the room, causing the two to start histarically laughing.“Classic” they said in unison and then continued to laugh.

Two weeks passed, and several things changed. Gina and Justin grew closer, but she was now in Paris on a shoot and he was playing a game in California. Things were going great between Lance and Michelle. Jana and JC were fighting the feelings each had for each other. It seemed that each day they got into awkward situations. In two weeks they had almost kissed five times. The old “gang” which consisted of Justin, Lance, Chris, Joey, Jana, Michelle, and JC were once again close. They spent time almost everyday together, just like they used to. Things were going great, at least thats what they thought.
