Chapter 5

We all settled back down. I held an ice pack over my eye.

After the crying stopped all of the guys congratulated me on my right hook. Boy, did I give it to her. She deserved it.

I sat around for a while watching TV. But soon I just went to bed. Sara gave me her room. I needed to sleep so I'de be able to go to rehearsal tomorrow. It was late anyway.

So much for that because I didn't get much sleep. I kept thinking about Justin. Soon I heard all of the guys leaving for their own rooms. I looked at my clock. It was 11:30p.m. I reached over and flipped on my radio. Music always made me go to sleep. The soft ballads of Maraih Carey drifted from the speakers. My eyes got heavier. Finally I drifted of into sleep.

Hours or so later. . . .

" I drive myself crazy thinking of you." Justin's voice came over the radio. I bolted up right. I realized that it was the radio. Looking at the clock it read 4:30 in the morning. I couldn't stand a moment longer without Justin. I needed to talk to him or more rather him talk to me.

Getting out of bed, I headed to the front door. Putting my hand on the knob, " Wait a minute. How am I going to get in? I don't have a key." I turned around to go back but I stepped on something cold. I looked down. It was fate. I had stepped on a room key. I picked it up. Okay maybe it wasn't fate, it was the room key I used to get into Justin's room for food. Turning back around, I went out and shut the door quietly behind me careful not to wake the others.

Going down three doors, I slowly slipped the key in and opened the door. I looked around, The room was dark. The only light came from the window. Tip-toeing around I had to figure out which one was Justin's room.

" There are only two rooms so that means somebody is on the couch," I whispered to myself. I hoped it was Justin so I could end my search. Peeking over the side, I saw J.c. Not who I was looking for. I tip-toed down the hall, I came to two doors.

" Now which one?" I questioned nobody in particular. Turning to the right I opened the door quietly. Walking in slowly. I couldn't quite see. The curtains were shut. I went over and opened them slowly. I looked over and saw Justin. I let out the breath I was holding. I didn't know what to do. I really hadn't thought of what I would do when I got here. Quietly I sat on the edge of his bed. I just watched him sleep. His chest rising and falling to the sounds of his breathing. He looked so peaceful when asleep. I put my hand in his and laid down beside him and closed my eyes. " I love you Justin." I whispered. Then I felt his hand squeeze mine. I looked over and saw him looking at me. " I love you, too." he whispered. I smiled. He put his arms around me. Wanting him to hold me for so long. (well realistically two days) " Jen I'm really sorry," he whispered. " Its alright honey. I figured it out. I don't care what happened. I just wanna be with you. I understand it was all innocent on your part." He kissed me softly on the forehead. Soon we we're both fast asleep.

Later in the morning. . . .

Shutting the door quitely behind me I quickly went down the hall. Peering into the front room I saw Chris, Lance, and Joey watching cartoons. They all crowed the still sleeping Jc on the pull-out bed. I stepped slowly and quitely to the front door. Careful so the others wounldn't know I was there. It didn't look right to see me coming out of Justin's room in the morning. Pulling the door slowly, I was almost homefree and till the door started to squeak. They all turned around and looked at me. I slowly turned to face them. " Jen? What are you doing here?" Joey asked. " Oh. Um. . hi. I was just leaving. Bye."

Over in the Girls' Room. . . . .

" Ash have you seen Jenny? She's not in her room and the bathroom is empty."

" Check the balcony. She's usually out there." Ashley yelled from her room. Sara walked over to the sliding glass door to find the balcony deserted. " She's not out there either. I'm going over to ask the guys. She might be over there. Though this early, I doubt it." Walking down the hall, Sara spotted Jen right outside the door.

" Hey. what are you doing out here?''

We started walking back. " Well, last night I woke up and just couldn't stand being without Justin. So I went to his room." She opened the door to the room and I kept talking. " He was awake. Just laying there. And we talked and everthing is okay now. But we sorta fell asleep. So when I woke up I tried to get out without anyone of them seeing me but the squeaky door gave me away. I just left without giving them an explanation. I'm sure they'll be bugging Justin about it once he wakes up."
