Research Experience
Superconductivity
Currently I am fabricating superconducting
Bi-2223/Ag tapes by poweder-in-tube method. The main focus of the
present research is to develop manufacturing techniques necessary
to produce long conductors with high Jc with consistent performance levels
using Bi-2223 powder stoichiometry and conventional forming
equipment. Also to characterize the effects that various
processing parameters have on the overall geometrical,
mechanical, and physical properties of both green and
heat-treated wires and tapes.
Characterization using TEM, SEM, XRD etc., To study the magnetic flux distribution
inside a superconductor using Scanning Hall Probe Microscopy.
