Jesus/YahshuahUPDATED!

A brief analysis concerning the use of Yahshuah/Yahshua here instead of "Jesus."

Yahshuah: The Lamb of God

The prophets prophecied concerning Yahshua coming to the world and becoming a sacrifice for the sins of the people. Here is an interesting study of why he is, as his name declares, the Salvation of Yahweh!

The Gospel: Raw, Uncut and Unheard is an awesome study and companion book to the Bible.

Every Sunday, millions upon millions of people all over the world attend church services. To most, it's an automatic occurrence and they have never given their actions a second thought. It probably would seem blasphemous for these people to change their day of worship. After all, this is the way of the world. Nevertheless...

Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, WHICH DECEIVETH THE WHOLE WORLD: he was cast out into the earth...

Because of this, many people fail to realize that Sunday is the first day of the week. This ignor-ance can be due to the fact that Monday is the first work/school day in most countries. However, Sunday is actually the first day of the week and "Saturday" is the seventh day. Any calender, dictionary, encyclopedia, or tv guide, (which is how I first learned) will prove this fact.

Some argue that it's impossible to know which day is which.

However, the bible speaks of a seven day week and we still live according to this rule today. This is no accident. World rulers in the past have even tried to shorten or lengthen the days of the week, but of course they failed. The Gentiles have also come up with names (after pagan gods) for the days, but it is no coincidence that each day is STILL known by it's respective number (1-7).

Yah has not allowed the day's of the week to be altered over the centuries. Even during the sixteenth century when the world adopted our present calender, the Gregorian, the days of the week did not change.

Others will say that it really doesn't matter what day you attend church.

"You should worship God everyday" or "Everyday is the sabbath day" are the responses that many preachers/teachers/bishops make when they are asked about the sabbath. If this is the case, then why has the world set aside Sunday as the day of worship. As we stated earlier, these same people that make the statements above would consider it blasphemous if that day of worship was changed. Sure, you ought to do good and think about God everyday, but everyday CAN'T be the sabbath day. Yahweh, in his wisdom, knew that man would be consumed with his daily activities, therefore, he set aside ONE day for man to come together and worship him.

The sabbath begins at sundown Friday, and ends at sundown Saturday. According to God's calender, each day begins at sundown, or evening, not at midnight.

Genesis 1:5 ...And the evening and the morning were the first day.

The entire bible stresses that it is of utmost importance that we observe (attend "church," have a holy convocation) the Lord's sabbath, the seventh day.
It does matter.

Leviticus 23:2-3 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them...
...Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an HOLY CONVOCATION; ye shall do NO work therein: it is the sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.

Man realizes the importance of setting one day aside to worship God. Nevertheless, he has tried to change God's set time and law of Sabbath worship.

Daniel 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall WEAR OUT THE SAINTS of the most High, and think to CHANGE times and laws.

This change went into effect on March 7, 321 A D., by Roman Emperor Constantine.

SUNDAY - is the first day of the week, TRADITIONALLY assigned for Christian worship. Literally "Sunday" means "day of the sun." It derives it's name from the ancient PAGAN week, whose days were named after the sun, moon, and five visible planets (which were named after other pagan deities.) Civil laws REQUIRING the observance of Sunday date back at least to Emperor Constantine the Great, who designated as a legal day of rest and worship in 321 (AD). (Encyclopedia Americana vol.,26,1999)

It is even recorded that Constantine used violence to enforce his new law, because the seventh day sabbath was still being observed by true servants of Yahweh. Now if it would seem blasphemous for people to change their day of worship today, how do you think Yah, and his true servants, felt when man changed his?

One common theory that preachers/evangelists/ministers have concerning the change is that Saturday is the JEWISH sabbath, and Sunday is the Christian sabbath. When Yahweh instituted the sabbath there was neither Jew nor Christian around.

Genesis 2:2-3 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made. And God BLESSED THE SEVENTH DAY, AND SANCTIFIED IT: because that in it HE rested from all his work which God created and made.

It is utterly amazing how there are a multitude of preachers/teachers/evangelist that attempt to teach holiness and sanctification without acknowledging what is TRULY holy (hallowed) and sanctified as we have just seen that the Lord's sabbath day is. The seventh day is the only day that you can read about in God's word, that HE set aside for a weekly observance. Understand also that in Yahshua's and the apostles day there was never a debate concerning when Yahweh's weekly or annual sabbath day was. The debates began when Satan was successful in deceiving the world, causing them to observe days and customs that pertain to other gods, thereby causing the world to break the first and great commandment.
(See the previous chapter)

The Lord's sabbath was so important to him that he put it inside the Ten Commandments.

Exodus 20 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Six days shall thy labor and do all thy work:
But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the SEVENTH day: wherefore the Lord BLESSED the sabbath day, and HALLOWED it.

James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

Many bishops/ministers/teachers teach that since they don't keep the "whole law," then they are not guilty for breaking any of the laws. But James here, was showing us the importance of keeping the whole law because if you, regardless of what you believe, offend in any point of the law, you will be accounted for it. He continues to tell you that faith without works is dead. Why? Because if you would have had faith in Yah, you would have did the works which are his commandments.

How do you think that you will be judged?

Revelation 21:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: AND THEY WERE JUDGED EVERY MAN ACCORDING TO THEIR WORKS.

And concerning which commandments you should keep...

Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these LEAST commandments, and shall TEACH men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 5 continued to give you examples of the commandments. Some were a part of the Ten, and some wasn't, but they were ALL a part of the law.

Yahshuah also warned us about breaking God's commandments to honor the tradition of men.

Matthew 15:8-9 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; BUT their heart is far from me.
But in VAIN THEY DO WORSHIP ME, TEACHING FOR DOCTRINES THE TRADITION OF MEN.

If you read this chapter you will see
(VERY IMPORTANT)
that Yahshua's gripe with the Pharisees was NOT because they observed the commandments of God, but it was because THEY forsook the commandments of Yahweh for their traditions. Now, we shall see that the Gentiles also have to observe the sabbath because it is a part of the New Covenant.

Isaiah 56:6-8 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the Lord, to serve him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be his servants, EVERYONE THAT KEEPETH THE SABBATH FROM POLLUTING IT, AND TAKETH HOLD OF MY COVENANT;
Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon my altar; for mine house shall called an HOUSE OF PRAYER FOR ALL PEOPLE.

Acts 13:42 And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next SABBATH day.

As Paul preached..:

Acts 18:4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every SABBATH, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.

Even though Paul broke bread with the disciples on the first day of the week. This did not stop them from observing the Lord's sabbath.

Luke 4:16 ...and as his (Yahshua's) custom was, he went into the synagogue on the SABBATH day to read.

As the Gentiles were now learning about Yahshuah, and the correct way to serve Yahweh, they were faced with all kinds of persecutions from their own kinsmen who worshipped pagan gods like Saturn (the god of Christmas), Mithra, Apollo (the Sun(day) gods), and Easter (Eostre, Astarte, Ashtoreth, the various goddesses of fertility, or "queens of heaven")
These are who Paul was speaking of when he told the converts to

Colossians 2:8,16 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy

Who were the philosophers in the Apostles day?

and vain deceit, after the TRADITION OF MEN, and not after Christ...
...Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the SABBATH DAYS: WHICH ARE A SHADOW OF THINGS TO COME

(NOT HAVING BEEN DONE AWAY WITH, BIG DIFFERENCE!!)

;but the body is of Christ.

Yahshuah's resurrection was before the Miriams (Marys) arrived at the grave that Yahshuah was buried in, so they didn't see him rise on the first day of the week. So when teachers/bishops/evangelists state that THIS is why they attend church on Sundays, they err again.

Now that you know which day Yahweh has hallowed and sanctified, find others who seek to serve Yahweh in spirit and in truth, and watch how Yah will bless you with the knowledge to walk in his ways and be a true light in this dark world.

Grace and Peace in Yahshua.
