As Promised Here it is: the on-line debut of Occupational Hazard and Brifan 0:-)
Okay.. so our poor roomie, the most dedicated fan we know, (well the only fan Brifan knows, really) missed this episode which was actually good- this is obviously because joss wrote it! So please, because we've only seen like 6 episodes, don't expect anything great. Just a few comments...
I really didnt like Cordelia's attitude. I mean I know that Willow & Xander thing had to make her quite upset, but stepping out of her car as if she were the best thing on earth- then totally pretending that she was over Xander ---c'mon. Yet in the same respect I (Brifan) felt bad for her when her little click of friends suggested that she go out w/ that dorky kid on the steps! then the wish chick enters stage left. You could kinda tell that she was going to have something to do w/ Cordelia's wish. Then it happened-- The Wish... Buffy was erased from the face of Sunnydale. Everyone wore dark colors during the day, there was this awful curfew at night because without the Slayer, vampires roamed the streets freely, and the Bronze became a vampire club where bloodsucking was the norm. Not a good situation!!!! And a bit eerie too!!!
Thats when things got really weird- and Cordelia realized the ramifications of her wish (shortly after Willow and Xander tried to suck her body dry) and was quite sorry she'd ever said anything! So to make long story short, no one knew why Cordelia kept mentioning Buffy until she convinced Giles that he had to find Buffy (who was busy battling the large amount of demonic activity in Cleavland) and get her to come slay all the vampires...which she did. Meanwhile, Giles summons up the evil wish fairy and destroys the amulet that she gave Cordelia, and she gets really pissed and really ugly and then everyting returns to the moment Cordelia made the wish... but without the amulet, the wish doesn't work, so no harm done!! So there you have it: an ultra abridged review of The Wish... Sorry. We know that it in no way can compare to Angel's reviews...but we tried.
Things That Were Cool:
Willow and Xander in leather! Wow!! That was a shocker. Thought they were acting like Spike and Dru... What do we know though?
