Horse Training

This is MVS's training business. We train not only in disciplines, but basic skills. There are a lot of abused horses that are adopted that have fears of walking into trailers, of halters, and even the side rails of starting gates. Below is listed common sports and problems that we can train your horse(s) in. Anything that is not listed, just email Pyro and ask about it.

PLEASE NOTE: Training your horse will take 1 real week to complete for every discipline/problem. After the time is up, all training in any disciplines will be complete and that is when you can start competing and racing. Any and all problems will be fixed.

DISCIPLINES
These are disciplines taught for the first time to a foal/yearling or younger horse. There are no problems dealing with these because they have not been taught yet.

*Basic Skills (accepting saddles, bridles, human on back, blankets, etc.): $825
*Basic Commands (walk, trot, canter, gallop, halt, etc.): $825
*Flat Racing: $950
*Show Jumping: $935
*Dressage: $1200
*Cross Country: $1125
*Barrel Racing: $1075
*Western Pleasure: $950
*Pole Bending: $1000
*Hunting/Working Hunter: $935
*Steeplechasing/Point to Point: $950
*Calf Roping: $970
*Team Roping: $970
*Gymkhanas: $935
*Equitation: $1000
*Team Chasing: $950
*Showing: $935
*Polo: $935
*Cattle Cutting: $1075
*Harness Racing: $1075
*EVENTING (showjumping, dressage, and cross country): $2800
**BASIC GROUP TRAINING (We will train a group of 3 or more horses in Basic Skills and Basic Commands):
$1325 for 3 horses
$350 for every extra horse (4 or more)
**DISCIPLINE GROUP TRAINING (We will train a group of 3 or more horses in one discipline per horse):
$1200 for 3 horses
$350 for every extra horse (4 or more)
**COMBINED GROUP TRAINING (We will train a group of 3 or more horses in Basic Skills, Basic Commands, and one discipline per horse):
$2200 for 3 horses
$400 for every extra horse (4 or more)

PROBLEMS
These are generally linked to grown horses that have been trained in the above disciplines, but there are problems dealing with them.
*Accepting saddles/bridles/halters: $600
*Accepting blankets/horse shoes: $600
*Accepting martigales: $220
*Trouble walking into trailers: $750
*Trouble walking into starting gates/stalls: $750
*Fear of hurdles/jumps (ground or raised): $625
*Fear of whips/crops^^: $180
*Racing Problems++: $900
*Cribbing: $575
Email Pyro if your horse's problem is not listed. We will come up with a reasonable price.

^^This means any whip or crop hanging by the rider's side or hanging up in the barn.
++This will not be solved using blinkers. This includes aggressiveness, switching leads, etc.
