Tony Hawk's Underground

Overall I wasn't too impressed by T.H.U.G. as it's call. It pretty much the same thing as Tony Hawk 4 except with different locations. Although I have to say that changing the career mode to a story was a great idea. Now on the PS2 version they allow you to download your face onto your character which was pretty much a gimmick to get people to buy online subsciptions, but even without the face mapping I was still able to get a pretty good likeness. Now another good thing was the fact that not all the goals were skateboard related there were sometimes when you got off your board and even got to drive a car. Now my problem was that after to complete that goal with the car you can go back to the loaction you started at and the car will be there again for you to get in to drive around with however all the other cars on the street disappear, the car doesn't take any damage at all and worst of all after you get out of the car, no matter where it is you will be brought back to the starting point. So if you planned on using the car to set up a trick or just to get from one part of the city to another don't count on it. Now they added a create a trick system along with the create a park, but seriously those never really caught my interest as much as they probably should have. A good thing was though that when you beat the game one of the unlockable characters for the 2 player game is Iron Man who's my second favorite Marvel superhero behind Spider-Man. Although I wasn't impressed I still feel that it's a very solid skateboarding game and lets face it none of the others have even come close

Tony Hawk's Underground gets a 3 out of 5.
