CHARITY?

SHOULD A PERSON CONTRIBUTE TO A CHARITY?

• And now abideth these three; Faith, Hope and Charity, but the greatest of these is Charity. 1 Corinthians 13:13
• So as the body without the spirit is dead, faith without works is dead also. James 2: 26
• Wherefore by their fruits you shall know them. Matt. 7: 20
• I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to recieve. Acts 20: 35

WHY YOU SHOULD GIVE TO CHARITIES

• BECAUSE YOU'RE A GOOD PERSON? -- There is a face which we show to the world. Most of us like to be thought of, by others, to be good, law abiding citizens, who take care of our family & friends, and someone who is a stand up member of our community. When we are thinking of what must be done to help others, we must remember to look beyond the streets that define our community. If you are a thinking person, and see all the things you possess, you must compare those things with what other people have, and you will realize that over half of the world is starving to death. Children are dying of starvation. We must think of this. If we find that we possess plenty, we who have a conscience must share a little of what we have, with those not so fortunate. - IF YOU ARE A GOOD PERSON.
• BECAUSE YOU CLAIM TO BE A GOOD CHRISTIAN, MOSLEM, JEW, HINDU, etc. etc.? All religions, religious groups are told to LOVE your fellow man. If you claim to be a religious person, you have no option but to give to the unfortunates in the world.
• BECAUSE THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO ARE SUFFERING? -- and you have a conscience.
• BECAUSE YOUR DUTY AS A HUMAN BEING IS TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE IN. This is a duty that you will take on if you want the world to be a better place.
• BECAUSE THERE'S A TAX DEDUCTION? For those who give the government of most countries allow a portion of the Donation to be deducted from the income you made that year. This can make it a little easier to decide.
• BECAUSE YOU CAN ACTUALLY MAKE BETWEEN 5% AND 7% ANNUAL INCOME ON MONEY THAT YOU DONATE? Some of the major help orginizations will set it up so that the money donated can be set up in a trust fund or a mutual fund investment, on which you can earn income, for the rest of your life. Look into this. It can be helpful to others and beneficial to you.
  
  BE CAREFUL WHERE YOUR MONEY GOES

  DID YOU KNOW THAT SOME ORGINIZATIONS USE UP TO 80% OF WHAT YOU DONATE AND USE IT TO ADMINISTER THE ORGINIZATION. ONLY GIVE TO THOSE WHO USE THE MONEY WISELY.

  For instance, the SALVATION ARMY uses only 18% of the money donated for administration purposes. This means that 82% of the money goes to do charitable work. WHAT A FINE RECORD.

  For your convenience, I have listed four of the world wide orginizations who do FINE HUMANITARIAN WORKS - AND DO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE. There are many orginizations who do fine works, some of them right around the corner, from where you live. FIND THEM. - HELP!
