Definition
What is Spirituality?
Spirituality is not divination and magic, nor is it exclusively the works of the "Holy Spirit". Spirituality is the presence of a higher power in ones life. Schweizer stated that spirituality is individual and collective and is "essential to a missionary activity which is still going on and growing, and indeed, which makes this activity possible. For Jews, Christians and Muslims it is based it the God known as "The Lord", God, or Allah with varying degrees of that God's Holy Spirit. There are other religions which place the basis of spirituality in a deity or deities. There are also movements that place this spirituality in many things, areas, or auras. Never the less, spirituality has a place in all religions.
There are also people who do not profess a faith in any deity or higher power, but are yet still spiritual people. These people usually believe in some form that there is a unified society of humans in a bond of philos, agape, and love. This bond brings about and "individual & collective" social effective, which in turn brings about a faith in humans and/or the world.
