OK, freaks I know this has been a long time in coming but this site is a whole lot of (unpaid) hard work.... First up on this update: Vapours 700 ...... What can i say? The two day event turned out smashing in the end dispite some initial fears of a lack of wall space. I can't really stress how important it was to have an event of this magnitude in Hull.....
The scene here is fast growing to incorperate not only the fresh vapour styles of some of this country's finest writers but also breaking, DJ ing, MC's, and genuine B-boys (those who walk the walk). Props to about a zillion heads (sorry if your piece ain't here there'll be more pics next update), but I suppose out of all the pieces there was no doubt that the Rough/Part2/Juice and TCF ball-busting productions stood out...... Next up: Any dudes in the Hull region should pop along to Quay Art (43, High Street, Kingston upon Hull, HU1 1PT) for a spectacular month long exhibition featuring the usual cronies from Hull's 15 year graffiti heritage - DRA, RFM, TCF, RAR, entitled "What's in a name..." featuring photos, pieces, canvases, sketch books and of course this fine web page, mmmmmmm.
So yup... right now I'm writing to a
strict deadline for a number of reasons, mainly to get my
arse in gear.... If i've got time there should be an
Outlines link here but if i'm too lazy or slow you'll see
it next update which I promise won't take four months to
compile, alongside a writers' profile section.
The preview for the show starts at
6:30pm Wednesday 7th July at Quay Art and then staggers into
the Lamp bar for a post show chin-wag, see you there
