Water

Well, this is a section I decided to put up on water. Water is important in maintaining good health and staying strong. First, let me say that water is required for nearly all chemical reactions in the body. When you build muscle, your body uses chemical reactions. So obviously it is NEEDED to build muscle and sustain life. Muscles also are composed of 70% water, 30% tissue. This would mean that you would obviously lose size in your muscles if your water intake is less than adequate. Since bodybuilders are considered physically active people, we naturally lose more water through sweat and bodily functions then the average sedentary person. This means that we require more water than the average person. The average person gets enough water through semi-water liquids, like milk. Physically active people need more pure water than less active people. Typically, the athletes who care about a healthy lifestyle needed at least 8 cups of pure water a day to operate at their peak performance. Bodybuilders, since muscle needs water, are recommended to drink more than this. A lot of top bodybuilders drink a gallon of water a day! That might sound like a lot, but you get used to it. The only thing it is hard on the first few days of excessive water drinking is the bladder. You might have to use the bathroom more often. So be prepared, but your body will eventually adapt and using the bathroom every 10 minutes will not become a problem. Water has also been proven to lower bodyfat levels by naturally increasing your metabolism. I hope on this article has proven to you just how important and vital water is.
