This trip will take Jeff 8 days. He will go
by trail for the first two days and then will take off
cross country on the third day. This page will be updated with pictures and info. upon his returns.
* DAY 1
Leave Hospital Rock to Redwood Meadow
or Timbergap Trail Junction.
* DAY 2
Over Black Rock Pass to Hight Sierra
Trail cabin.
* DAY 3
Climb into Kaweah Basin via ridge
between Black Kaweah and Mt Kaweah.
(if
conditions won't allow, will access via
Chagoopa Creek.)
* DAY 4
Kaweah Basin Layover
* DAY 5
Down to 9 Lakes Basin via saddle
between Black Kaweah and Kaweah Queen.
(if
conditions won't allow, will access via Pants
Pass.)
* DAY 6
Up to Lion Rock and down to Tamarack
Lake, staying south of Lion Rock.
* DAY 7
To Bearpaw Meadow
* DAY 8
Onto Hospital Rock.
