And May the Jimmyness Be With You!

Here are some more inspiring words from Robyn and Ann!

by Robyn

No, there is no cure that we know of. But, we aren't exactly looking for one. It's one of those things that seeps into your veins and never goes away. You may be able to tear away for a while, when the world demands your attention, but you'll be back. They always come back. Ya just can't live without JIMMY!!!

Ok, ladies. As far as Kid goes... I loved his little moral dilemmas. He was a great guy, and I would love to have him by my side- as a friend! That's all. I'm sorry, but Kid just didn't do it for me at all! He wasn't at all sexy. As a matter of fact, whenever he had a romantic scene- it annoyed me. He was blah!!! Dull.

Now, for Jimmy! Despite his reputation, and the fact that he couldn't escape his destiny... Jimmy was always trying to do the right thing. Yes, he had a temper. He had very strong emotions in general. That's what we love about him. When we talk about his passion, wee mean his passion for life, all of it, not just for sex. When he felt something, he did it... he didn't sit around thinking about it all day until he was blue in the face. These strong emotions also are what made him love very deeply. Yeah, Kid may love you. But to be loved by Jimmy... He would love you so strongly- isn't that what all of us want? To be loved by a man who is so strongly in love with you that he would die for your honor without thinking twice about it? Jimmy knew himself. He brooded a lot over what he had chosen in his life, because fate had led him down a lonely road. He was a strong man... he could carry the world on his shoulders and still be there to care for you and listen to you. Jimmy was a lot better listener than Kid. Kid always seemed to have preconceived notions about things. And, last and most importantly, Jimmy is so very, very sexy. I love brown eyes. His eyes are the kind that don't hide what he's feeling. His passion comes out, and you know when he wants you. And when he wants you, he wants you. He doesn't waste time thinking about it, or evaluating the situation. Yet, he could be so gentle and loving. And he's simply gorgeous!!!! All that, is why ladies, I love Jimmy so much.

Now do you see the light?

While Jimmy can be cute (when he's shy and stuff) a word to better describe him is sexy. He has mojo man! There's something about a complex guy that's so fascinating. First, his masculinity. On the outside, he's as hard as nails when he needs to be, probably to protect himself from getting hurt. That strength (and loyalty) is very appealing to women. He would lay down his life to protect people. (Even strangers). He tries to act distant, like he doesn't need anyone, but you just know that on the inside, he's a marshmallow and just wants to be loved by somebody. He's also very temperamental. His passion is like hot lava bubbling beneath the surface of a volcano which is about to explode in any moment. This makes him exciting and sexually attractive. The guy sizzles. All of these features combined make you unsure of whether to hug him or just jump his bones. His appeal goes beyond the physical (though he has that too). It's his very essence, his innate Jimmyness. He's enigmatic and magnetic. Why do you think he ended up being the main character on the show? Josh Brolin has got that certain je ne sais quoi. He developed his character very well over the three seasons and there's a truth in every scene he does. He's certainly one of the better actors on the show. I'm still quite sure Josh will become a star in the next few years.

Ann sends in her lengthy, yet stirring, thoughts on her obsession with Jimmy!
PREAMBLE
GIMME JIMMY!!!!!
Jimmyness: (origin: TYR) (n) 1. the highest state of enlightenment, true widsom. (by Joanna)

MISSION STATEMENT
I aim to spread Jimmyness throughout TYRland so others will see the light.

MY SYMPTOMS
My name is Ann and I'm a Jimmyholic. I'm not sure exactly when I became a disciple of the exalted and venerated HIS JIMMYNESS but what I do know is that once you discover Him, there is no looking back. As I move closer and closer to achieving true 'Jimmyness', the symptoms of my addiction have become more and more intense. Whenever I see HIS JIMMYNESS on screen, I experience giddiness and horniness. I've started talking about HIS JIMMYNESS with strangers. I've made a 'quick fix' tape of my favorite Jimmy moments for instant relief when I am feeling withdrawal symptoms.

MY LABORATORY
I have a laboratory in my attic where I am trying to develop a synthetic Jimmyholic drink. Possibly for distribution in bottled form (now with more Jimmy goodness!). I know that nothing can truly substitute for the real thing. My mission is merely to give the deprived masses a little taste of what Jimmyholics have in abundance every day. I just can't seem to crack the right formula: Two cups of sincerity, a little impulsiveness, two gallons of loyalty, five gallons of sexiness, three pounds of passion, half a cup of vulnerability, a pinch of self-destruction, heat it up, then let it brew for a while.
My main glitch seems to be that it keeps exploding.....Hmmm I'm sure I'll crack it soon.

MY POSTER
In my living room hangs a giant 'The Young Riders' poster. This poster is one of my most prized possessions. When people come over to my house, the poster is often the subject of discussion so I tell the unenlightened ones about the show and ask them to point out the sexiest guy on the poster. If they choose someone other than HIS JIMMYNESS, I give them a mini-lecture until they've seen the error of their ways. If the lecture fails, I am forced to turn to 'Clockwork Orange' style tactics. The program I have designed is known as RES (Rapid Enlightenment Session)TM and it has a 100% success rate. I stop short of electric shocks but basically I tie the subject up and tape their eyelids open. I then dress the subject in black leather gloves, a hat and a gunbelt and make them watch 'The Young Riders' while force feeding them sarsaparillas and cheese sandwiches. The process usually takes 60 hours (until all the episodes have been watched). I then untie the subject who proceeds to get down on their knees and thanks me for their 'RES'. Unfortunately, it has proved somewhat more difficult to convert people over the internet as I must use more subtle methods but I shall persist.

MY BEDROOM
I have a black and white press kit photo of HIS JIMMYNESS beside my bed, and yes, I sometimes kiss him goodnight and say good morning to him. At night, my dreams are often filled with HIS JIMMYNESS and if they aren't, I can always fantasize about him. I have shut my eyes and pretended it was HIS JIMMYNESS too (you figure that one out).

TRADING PLACES
I would like to switch places with Lou in "The Blood of Others", Sarah in "Blind Love", Emma in "The End of Innocence", Alice in "The Peacemakers", Grace in "Fall from Grace" or even the prostitute in "Bad Company".

MY COMPUTER
My PC has a Jimmy folder where I keep fan fiction and suggestive pics. I spend hours and hours in TYRland. Don't let me even start talking about my Josh Brolin addiction.

MY PLEDGE
As a certified Jimmyholic and a disciple of the aforementioned exalted and venerated HIS JIMMYNESS, I pledge to continue my worshipping of Jimmy and to help the lost ones see the light and discover true Jimmyness. I'm sure that the other Jimmyholics will follow suit so I have composed this short poem which should help maintain our morale on our quest.

Don't try to reach Nirvana
Tis here in cowboy form
Forget Heaven and Valhalla
And come and be reborn
The long johns and the navy colts
The sexy leather gloves
Jimmy doth our hearts assault
We are his many loves
Jimmyholics let us unite
In our common quest
To help the infidels see the light
And find the Jimmyness

THE LAST WORD
I thought it appropriate that Shakespeare have the last word. This is an excerpt from the song of the fairies in "The Merry Wives of Windsor".

Lust is but a bloody fire,
Kindled with unchaste desire,
Fed in heart, whose flames aspire
As thoughts do blow them, higher and higher

Stacie sends in her tale of confession as a revision of the Kenny Chesney song "That's Why I'm Here" (Shaye Smith/Mark Alan Springer)
"No I ain't been watching TYR"
I knew thats probably what you'd think
If I dropped by this time of night
Remember way back when
I promised you I'd drop in
At one of those meetings down at the Y
Well, they started talkin bout steps you take
Mistakes you make
The hearts you break
And the price you pay
I almost walked away
You could hear a pin drop
When I Stood up and said I'm gonna' say
What's in my heart
It's the simple things in life
Like the kids at home and a loving wife
That you miss the most, when you lose control
And everything you love starts to disappear
The devil takes your hand and says no fear
Have another show, just one more episode
Yah, I've been there, that's why I'm here
This ole gal stood up in the aisle
Said she'd been living a life of denial
And she cried as she talked about wasted years
I couldn't believe what I heard
It was my life word for word
And all of the sudden it was clear
It's the simple things in life
Like the kids at home and a loving wife
That you miss the most, when you lose control
And everything you love starts to disappear
The devil takes your hand and says no fear
Have another show, just one more episode
Yah, I've been there, that's why I'm here
I know for us it may be too late
But it would mean the world to me
If you were there when I stand to say
It's the simple things in life
Like the kids at home and a loving wife
That you miss the most, when you lose control
And everything you love starts to disappear
The devil takes your hand and says no fear
Have another show, just one more episode
Yah, I've been there, that's why I'm here
Oh, I've been there, that's why I'm here

Robyn -- Certified Jimmyholic

I wanted to send you an excerpt from my upcoming story (that I have vowed not to post until I am at least finished with the first part). This sums up many of the reasons that I am forever addicted to the fun- loving character- James Butler Hickok.

"He would protect her- that's just the way he was. He was everything she'd ever wanted in a man. He was what she'd dreamed about as a little girl. He was so strong, and yet had a very vulnerable side. He was as tough as men come, but gentle and loving when it was needed. He was brave and bold, yet scared of his own destiny. He was sensitive and loved fiercely, but feared the pain he knew he would bring to those he loved. He knew how to have fun, how to treat a woman, how to be sensible, and how to survive. And he was so very handsome, so undeniable sexy. She wanted him as she had never wanted a man before. He wanted so much more than life was offering to him, and she wanted to give it to him. She didn't think that would ever happen, he would never be able to let someone love him completely- especially not her. But what she loved most about him was his passion. It was so dangerous and alluring, the fire inside him that was always on the verge of boiling over. She longed to be the object of that passion. She knew he would lay down his life for her in an instant if she allowed him to love her. Tears fell from her eyes for what could have been as she watched the only man (and he truly was a man by every definition of the word) she could ever completely love walk towards her."

This is why I am and always will be a Jimmyholic.

Renee

My name is Renee...and I'm a Jimmyholic. One look at that cocky smirk sends my heart fluttering. Those eyes...especially when he wears glasses...what more can I say? That smile, eventhough we don't see it often, is like sunshine on a cloudy day. The way he walks, the way he talks. The way he rides a horse, the way he shoots a gun, it all makes watching him so much fun! Jimmyness can't be summed up in a word or two, but once it catches you, you just can't get enough! Eventhough I'm a devout Buckette, and Cody is a close third, there will always be a place in my heart for Jimmy! (FYI...My reasons for liking him change everytime I watch an episode. These are just today's reasons! Let me watch Bad Company again, and I'll come up with more!!)

Return to His Jimmyness

Please note: no offense is intended to those who suffer from actual additions in real life. I acknowledge that addictions can be a serious issue that should be dealt with in the manner recommended by your doctor or counselor.
