This article was taken from (*blush*) Teen Machine from an issue during the run of the show. Unfortunately I don't have the date or the author, however I believe it was published during the first season.
Merry Christmas, Ty: As a kid Ty and his older brother worked in the family business -- one of the largest Christmas tree farms in North America. During their Christmas season, the Miller boys sold trees, but they had no special treatment because they were the boss' sons -- they were paid minimum wage to learn the value of money. "Our hard work was also rewarded each year when our father let us keep all of the proceeds from sales on Christmas Eve," recalls Ty.
Check-in Time: "Hotel was my first big role, my first regular role on TV," says Ty. "I think I finished eighteen shows before it got canceled."
Ride 'Em Cowboy: "None of us were what you would call expert riders," laughs Ty of the Young Riders guys. But Ty was a bit more familiar around horses than the others. "I grew up in a ranch-style home in Granada Hills. We had two acres and I've had a horse ever since I was born. I still have one but I've only ridden it about five times. Coming up here, you're supposed to ride like Pony Express riders that lived on horses, so the wranglers really stuck it to us and we were sore for a while, but now I'm used to it and loving it!"
A Business Decision: Ty was studying business in college when he was encouraged by friends to try acting. "I needed to make some fast bucks to take my girlfriend on some decent dates," laughs Ty about his decision to try acting.
Love Talk: Ty dates actress Sarah Buxton and remembers the first time they went out. "I took Sarah to the Forum for a concert. When we got there, we found a Lakers game. Apparently, it was the wrong night!"
Then at the bottom, there is a "signature":
To TEEN MACHINE, Thanks, Love Ty Miller
