Welcome website owners and aspiring website owners! Since I ahve been getting more and more e-mails asking how I put AJ McLean Pride together, I decided to put up this page to try and help you guys out. Hmmm..... where do I start?
How about HTML? HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language and are the codes used to design webpages the way you want. They must begin with a < and end with a > to work. I am not really good at explaining, so check out these places for more information. They have useful tutorials and offer some HTML tips on how to make great websites.

Once you have a basic grasp on how to use HTML, you are ready to get started. You should first look for a server. I use Angelfire, but there are plenty of other servers out there for you to choose from like:
GeoCities
Tripod
gURLpages
FortuneCity
After you've picked a server, you can begin building pages. You might want to start simple and then start adding more stuff as time goes on. There are a number of places where you can get awesome webmaster resources. Here are some of them.

You can get cools stuff for your site like Guest Books, Message Boards, Live Chatrooms, and many more.
Last but not least, you might want to liven up your site by adding some graphics. Headlines, icons, logos, and pictures make websites look very creative. You can also try using a picture as a background. However, do not forgetthat people viewing your site want to read your text, so if the picture is dark, use light colors and vice versa.
I get a lot of e-mails asking me how people can make their own graphics. There are some good software out in the market that you can use like Adobe Photo Shop, Aldus Super Paint, and Aldus Type Twister, but they are quite expensive. If you do not want to buy these programs, it is okay. I know some really nice people who are willing to make free custom graphics for you. They make a lot of stuff including banners, buttons, awards, and backgrounds.
If you want a fast and easy way to make your own website banner, you can go to this service. It allows you to make banners, but they cannot have pictures or be animated.
All they ask in return is for you to link back to them, and in some cases, sign their guestbooks. Doing these things only takes a few minutes, however, so it should not be a problem.
After everything, you hopefully would have made a website that looks just the way you wanted it. All you have to do now is promote it and update it frequently.
