Paul was asked to join Brasswind in October of 2003 and has been a wonderful addition to the group. His musical ability and enjoyable enthusiasm have both been great assets.

Paul's instrumental forte is his love for playing jazz, bluesy soulful tunes, and lovely ballads, although he enjoys all types and styles of music. His trumpet is a professional Yamaha with a variety of Shilke mouthpieces. His latest horn addition is a professional Blessing flugelhorn with the rose brass bell which he is enjoying incorporating into the Brasswind reportoire.

Paul started playing the trumpet at a young age in Goshen and then continued to excel in Syracuse at Wawasee High School. He attended Goshen College and played in their talented Jazz Band. Currently, Paul plays in the Grace College Wind Ensemble and Lakes Area Community Band where he has also served on their board and as treasurer.

Personal Info
Although Paul is an professional service technician for Leisure Pools, and has worked there for over 10 years, his true daytime love is sailing! He owns two 16' Hobie Cat catamarans and can usually be found sailing for fun on Waubee Lake or catamaran racing on Tippecanoe Lake on summer weekends.

Paul lives on Waubee Lake in Milford with his wife, Stephanie, and two children, Arielle, 13, and Ian, 5.
