2 cups shredded zucchini
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. reduced cal mayo or salad dressing (either works really well)
1/2 c. plain low-fat yogurt
1/4 c. grated Romano or Parmesan cheese
(the dried kind in the can works better than fresh)
4 green onions, thinly sliced
1 tsp. Worchestershire
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 tsp. bottled hot pepper sauce (Tobasco)
(Note: You can omit garlic and tobasco if you want it milder)
loaf of party rye bread (about 50 slices)
Mix zuch & salt; let stand one hour to get rid of excess water.
Drain, rinse if you want.
(I've skipped this step altogether when in a rush - like always, lol!)
Stir all ingredients together.
Spread a rounded tsp. on each slice of rye.
Put on baking sheet, bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes.
Serve hot.
Make sure you get some before they disappear, lol!
