1 med head of lettuce (iceberg) 1 cup thinly sliced onion 1 cup thinly sliced celery 1 green pepper,
thinly sliced (optional) 1 can water chestnuts 1 pkg frozen peas(10 oz) 2 cups of mayonnaise 1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp pepper 1 cup (4 oz) shredded Mozzarella cheese 1/2 cup (2 oz) grated parmesan cheese
Cherry Tomatoes, bacon bits, little parsley for garnish. | Shred lettuce and place it in bottom of 9X13 dish.
Top with layers of onion, celery, green pepper and sliced water chestnuts. Sprinkle with layer of frozen peas;
spread with layer of mayonnaise. Sprinkle with mixture of sugar,salt and pepper. Top with Mozzarella and Parmesan
cheese. Cover tightly with foil or plastic and refrigerate 24 hours. Garnish with tomatoes, bacon bits and parsley
just before serving. Makes 12 servings. |
