CALTORANS
Appearance and biology: Caltorans have a leathery reptile like skin on their ventral side. Their dorsal side is covered by a silky but thick fur. Caltorans have a reptilian like tail. That is completely covered by fur, and they have whiskers from their reptilianesque noses. Caltroans looks like a perfect mix between a land reptile and feline, and most xenobiologist think that is exactly what they are. However they are puzzled by how such a bizarre mix could occur. Despite their facial and body features, Caltorans are more mammal than reptile. They are warm blooded and give live birth. Caltorans have short claws, that are a throwback to their earlier evolutionary days. The fur of Caltorans range from black to a bright red, light brown is the most common color.
Temperament: Caltorans as a whole are very prideful. They have an instilled sense of loyalty and honor. Caltorans despise stealing and the crime rate on Caltor is remarkably low. Caltorans are a war like species that is quick to anger and always demands retribution. When Caltorans become extremely angry they enter a state called the Rynex’trad.
History and Culture: The Caltoran history is marked by bloody wars. For much of Caltoran history the planet of Caltor was divided up into small countries that warred constantly. After a nuclear war the vast majority of the planet banned together to form one government. Today there are only two governments on Caltor the planetary one, and a small independent commune that takes up 38 square kilometers. Caltorans had already developed limited AI robots, and were just years away from developing hyperdirve when they were discovered by humans scouts. Caltorans soon entered the galactic community, and took it’s place as a leading producer of robotics. The Caltoran religion is polytheistic.
Politics: The planet is ruled by the council of 42. The council is created by popular vote elections every five years.
Trade and Technology: Caltorans have standard galactic technology. Caltorans have an extremely profitable trade with their line or droids.
Caltorans in the Galaxy: Caltorans can be found serving many functions throughout the galaxy. Most of them will be working with droids in someway.

Droid affinity: At time of character creation only, they may receive 2D for every 1D they put into droid programming repair (only works for the first 1D).
Ry’nextrad: When a Caltoran becomes extremely angry they enter the Ry’nextrad. During the Ry’nextrad their claws grow alarmingly fast (Str +1D damage). They get +2D to all Dexterity and Strength skill rolls, but -2D to all other rolls.
