background: Tim was raised in the space stations in the Duros system. In his childhood he had several human friends who had trouble pronouncing his name. They started calling him Tim, a character from a popular comedy at the time (this lead to him constatnly quoting the movie "There are some who call me . .. Tim"). The nickname stuck. In his late teen years, Tim was lucky enough to get a job as a courier. He would fly between space stations and to neighbooring systems delivering important messages. When Tim wasn't flying he would spend time with the company's head mechanic. Tim was increadibly interested in starship technology, especially in developing his own. He took nightschool classes and earned a degree in Starship component design. After Tim got an especially big bonus after delivering time sensitve material before the time was up (the standard time it takes to make the trip would have been to long), he started his own company along with the mechanic as his partner. They started out just making improved parts, but eventually moved to building their own starships. Tim's success came in that they marketed to outlaying regions where there was not much of a presense of other star ship manufactures. They cashed in on their success in the galactic rim by building portal station. Portal station is where Duten Enterprises is located, and it is where they manufactured most of the ships, did R&D, and all of their adminstrative requirements However, for the most part, Tim just fulfilled custom orders and they did not widely market their ship designs. Tim's career was cut short by being drafted to serve in the Shivistian trade wars. He was assigned to a fighter squadron who was charged with the defense of Nimodia. Tim saw a good deal of action when Nimodia was put uder seige. During the conflict Tim noticed he seemed to see things before they actually happened. When the Jedi knights came to mediate a treaty, Tim approched one of them, A Grandmaster Lance Carleon. The Grandmaster said that the force was strong with him, and that despite his age, he would teach him the ways of the force. Tim took a sabatical from his CEO job, and devoted himself to his training, and fulfilling his destiny . . .
