WARNING....GRAPHIC'S INTENSE
This tutorial will show you how to make black and white
clipart into Stained Glass.
Grab a cuppa and get settled cuz we're gonna have some fun!! *L*
FIRST...you need a pic to work with and some stained glass too.
I just happen to have everything you need right here all
in one .ZIP file. 17 stained glass image's and 1 clipart image.
Make sure you unzip them all to the same folder, so ya don't have ta go chasin em!
OK...let's get started.
1. Open up Image45.jpg in PSP6.
It should look like this.
2. Now you want to magnify the image.
Click on your magnifying glass.
NOTE....Left clicking with your mouse zoom's in.
Right clicking zoom's back out.
Left click twice to zoom in close.
It should look like this now.
3. Click on your magic wand so you can start selecting.
NOTE....THIS CAN TAKE QUITE A WHILE ON A LARGER IMAGE.
You need to make sure that you have all of the black
that you can get selected.
You'll know you have a section selected when you see
the tiny ant's marching around the selected area.
Once you have clicked once on the black, hold
down on the shift key while clicking to select more.
You will notice a little plus sign above the wand to
let you know that you are adding to the selection.
Your image should look something like this when your done selecting.
OK....now that the hard part is done...let's move on.
With the ant's still marching around all of your flower,
click on Selections/Save To Alpha Channel
A new window will pop up...just click OK.
Yet another window will pop up.
Type in Flower as shown below and then click OK.
OK...now click on Selections/Select None.
Time to fill this thing in!
I find it easiest to go ahead and open all of the
stained glass image's and minimize them. Like below.
OK...now click on your Flood Fill Bucket.
Now click on the button to pen your Tool Option's.
In your Flood Fill Option, make sure that Pattern is chosen.
In the Pattern option, you'll notice that all of the
images that are open are there to be selected.
Now....all you need to do is start filling it in.
Once you use one color and want to change....go back over
to the Pattern Option and pick a different image.
Just make sure to fill in everything that is white.
You may have to zoom in to get it all colored in.
Here's what mine look's like now.
OK....now for the LEAD look.
With your image all filled in with your stained glass,
click on Selections/Load from Alpha Channel.
Another box will pop up. Make sure Flower is selected.
OK......you're almost done!!
Now.....click on Images/Effects/Inner Bevel.
Use the following setting's for your bevel.
Guess what?? YOU'RE DONE!!!
Your finished image should look something like this.
