We live in a small town in Southern Indiana, about the only exciting thing that happens is when the Amish or Mennonites goes past in one of their horse and buggies. We have several Amish restaurants and business' around the area. We are mainly a farming area, with a beautiful fish and wildlife area nearby at Glendale. We are also close to Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana. We are also about two hours from Louisville,Kentucky and about two hours from Indianapolis,Indiana.Ross was on the National Honor Roll during the1998 school year. He was nominated by his teachers to get that award. He has also received a 21st Century Scholarship, that means he can go to any college in the state of Indiana and his tuition will be paid for. He has also been in the honors English and Science class for two years.. He has also in a talent search group for the academically gifted for two years. He is also in the show choir, he auditioned to be in that this year. The kids work hard by practicing on their own time for the show choir earlyin the mornings before school begins.. He won the superintendent's award in the sixth grade. He loves school and hopes to be a computer programer one day. As you can probably tell he is my pride and joy.
The
song playing in the background is "Greatest Love of All". I fully believe
in the words of the song, and can only hope that I have been able to teach
Ross the same. No matter what others do or say to you, you have to believe
in yourself, and love yourself first.
