So...you wanna know more about me?
I'm a tomboy...always have been, always will be. I've played fast-pitch softball (shortstop or third base) since I was eight years old. I preferred Legos over Barbie (although I had an extensive collection of each) and as an adult I would rather spend an evening watching a baseball game than attending the ballet.
Material possessions mean little to me. I like to own nice things, but if I don't I can still get by. And I don't judge a person by the labels they wear. Whether it be Tommy Hilfiger or Route 66, it's the person underneath those labels that I am interested in.
I've been called many names and had many things said about me in my short life. Stuck-up, snob, thinks she's better than everyone...strange, eccentric and off the wall come immediately to mind. I don't think of myself as any of those. I am no better than anyone, but I have respect for myself and others and I will not allow anyone to treat me with anything less. If I come across as seeming to think I'm better than so be it. Because one thing I know for sure; I am better than allowing anyone to walk all over me. That is unacceptable to me, and it will not happen ever again.
That's my story...that's how I see myself.
Any questions?

It's plain to see my tastes in music vary. I came of age in the 1980's and so I love the heavy metal and 'new wave' of that decade. The early 1990's brought to light country again with the rise of Garth Brooks and Wynonna, but I can remember listening to Don Williams sing 'I Believe in You' in the late 1970's, so country has always been a favorite too. Recently I've begun listening to the top 40 hits...lots of Alanis Morrisette and Jewel, and I find myself relating to many of these songs as well. Guess it all depends on my mood.
Music has always been very important to me. I admire songwriters and the recording artists that perform these songs. Many times I haven't been able to vocalize my feelings, but there's usually some song or two that can. And no matter what, if I hear a song that was signifigant to me during a certain time in my life, I'm immediately taken back to that time, experiencing all the thoughts and feelings I had, and sometimes this is a good thing and sometimes it's not. Once again...guess it depends on my mood.
