According to the manufacturer this clarinet was used by leading players at orchestras, and destined to make wood obsolete. They also stated that the metal was a special alloy that was as close as possible to sterling. Cost was about $200, and that was a lot of money in 1910. You can buy it now for $2200. Tryly one of the best, and most interesting clarinets ever made.
